God is. by definition, that which is uncaused.
Golden: *Pulls at very undefined and interpreted wording from an old book that has been rewritten many times*
"SEE I'M RIGHT! GOD IS REAL AND WHITE PEOPLE ARE SUPERIOR"
Lol
God exist as a word
Thats what im getting from golden honestly
He seems very frustrated
So then God exists
As a word yes
Idk as an entity
The word and concept "god" exists
The entity is fictional
This is what throttle tries not to say but knows it would contradict his fascist mindset which is built on not accepting religion.
How do you know it's fictional?
No it's not by definition. It is by reductio ad absurdum, since it falls into infinite regress. However, infinity has been questioned when Cantor's contribution in mathematics said a set can be infinite. Or you can just accept that there are brute facts, which is what I do. Brute facts are things that do not require an explanation for their existence.
"Harry" and "Potter" are both words that exist but "Harry Potter" is a fictional character created by J. R. Rowling
By his definition its fictional based on what we understand today
Thats my agnostic point of view
Haha
Maybe in the far future he wont be. But im leaning more towards as God doesnt exist.
@Vlad I have not seen any proof of its existence so I believe it is fictional. If irrefutable evidence, or evidence that convinces me, is shared with me then I will believe it
So, you don't know?
Can you guys bare with me on this
Yes.
Haha
So my point has benn proven by pretty much everyone in this debate.
Based on all of the evidence I have seen I do not believe god exists
@Feed Me Satan Harry Potter is not the same thing as theism, nor God.
Comparing things like fairies or unicorns to a necessary being is nonsensical.
You know how when you admit theres chaos, therefore we must cooperate and fix it
not knowing = we should be nice to each other because we admit we dont know and try to improve
We admit that were all biased
Thats my belief
But you just mentioned lack of evidence. How can you use the lack of evidence of something's existence as evidence of its inexistence, @Feed Me Satan?
Not knowing.
My bad i just read what i said
Wheres the retard emoji
If everyone could do that there will prolly be peace and co existence
@Vlad You can twist it and ask why this is the case. That's what the Divine Hiddeness argument does, why is it the case that God does not show himself to us.
Haha
Though I agree absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
Thats my selfish perspective i guess
I am all for being civil
The most anyone can say about anything is "this is the evidence and these are the beliefs I pull from the evidence"
I pull the belief that god does not exist from the lack of any convincing evidence. I cannot say anything for 100% certainty. Those are just my beliefs
