Regardless, that still would not justify it thomas, simply being conceived from an abusive relationship

2019-05-07 15:19:49 UTC

But as for rape? I have a very odd and unheard of solution

2019-05-07 15:19:49 UTC

but then the child would grow up watching his/her mother get beat up, and possibly get beat up itself

2019-05-07 15:20:00 UTC

ok

2019-05-07 15:20:06 UTC

I think that the mother should have two options. Carry to term, or partially carry.

2019-05-07 15:20:06 UTC

k

2019-05-07 15:20:14 UTC

wdym

2019-05-07 15:20:42 UTC

what?

2019-05-07 15:21:07 UTC

This means, instead of having to go through the trauma of birthing a rape child, the mother would have the option for the baby to be surgically removed (but still living) at a certain point. Say, 7 months. This would be nothing more than a simple surgery for the mother, she goes under, wakes up, and that's it, but the baby still is able to live.

2019-05-07 15:21:24 UTC

It's the best solution I can imagine in a shitty situation

2019-05-07 15:21:33 UTC

she didnt consent to having a child

2019-05-07 15:21:33 UTC

That benefits both the child conceived from the rape and the mother

2019-05-07 15:21:36 UTC

she doesnt want t

2019-05-07 15:21:41 UTC

Well, she isn't having a child

2019-05-07 15:21:47 UTC

its still her child

2019-05-07 15:21:47 UTC

She never gives birth, never sees the child

2019-05-07 15:21:50 UTC

she has to carry the child for 7 months

2019-05-07 15:22:05 UTC

she did not give consent to that pregnancy

2019-05-07 15:22:15 UTC

it has her genes, its her child and she didnt consent to having a baby

2019-05-07 15:22:31 UTC

I mean it's the best compromise I can think of, truly. Obviously the mother did not consent, but does that justify the ending of that life?

2019-05-07 15:22:33 UTC

everyday, she'd have to nurture, feed and take care of a BABY when she most likely would be broken herself

2019-05-07 15:22:34 UTC

and if she feels that she cant handle a baby she should be allowed to abort

2019-05-07 15:22:38 UTC

YES

2019-05-07 15:22:57 UTC

No? I just explained how my compromise fixes that, to the best of the ability

2019-05-07 15:23:10 UTC

it takes care of the parenting part

2019-05-07 15:23:13 UTC

where does the baby go after removed

2019-05-07 15:23:16 UTC

The mother literally never comes in to contact with the child. There is no "nurture, feed, and take care of"

2019-05-07 15:23:18 UTC

not the pregnancy part

2019-05-07 15:23:32 UTC

Adoption agency, state care. There would be something in place

2019-05-07 15:23:34 UTC

oh so when she's pregnant she can do whatever she wants?

2019-05-07 15:23:40 UTC

she can get drunk whenever

2019-05-07 15:23:53 UTC

she can skip a meal if she wants to

2019-05-07 15:23:59 UTC

no. she can't.

2019-05-07 15:24:38 UTC

I mean, if that's the biggest issue a rape victim has, not being able to get soused....

2019-05-07 15:24:53 UTC

no, what im saying is

2019-05-07 15:25:42 UTC

after a traumatising event like that occurs, it's your RIGHT to be selfish. you must take care of yourself during that time period. even that would be very hard to do.

2019-05-07 15:25:59 UTC

I'm not saying the mother won't have to face undeserved and terrible sacrifices because of it, but it's the BEST solution to a shitty situation all around that I can honestly think of

2019-05-07 15:26:00 UTC

on top of that, there would be a LIVING BEING inside of you. BECAUSE of that event.

2019-05-07 15:26:20 UTC

she has to sacrifice time of labour tho

2019-05-07 15:26:26 UTC

It preserves both the dignity of the mother, prevents having to go through child birth, AND allows the child to live.

2019-05-07 15:26:26 UTC

or like pregnancy
