CNN, for example
...
They didn't report the specific event
They made a supporting article of Desmond in general
"We asked Desmond's mother about criticisms she's received from people who think drag is unsuitable for children. She told us "as a parent, if your child wants to do drag, that's fine" and said children like Desmond are "not doing adult drag... they're doing a more kid appropriate version of drag". Responding to concerns about Desmond doing a performance at a nightclub, his mother posted on social media that his performance was "age appropriate", carefully supervised and "in accordance with the Dept. for Labor's regulations for child performers"."
How is a child even being at a gay bar, or any bar at all, appropriate to begin with?
So, is it possible they only forwarded that to promote their own agenda right
The mother is entitled to her opinion but that does not disspell criticism
And thousands is nothing, that is a ridiculously small minority of people
It's possible both are pushing an agenda, but one is clearly reactionary to the other. You cannot report that the left leaning news outlets are not reporting a topic unless the left leaning news outlets are not reporting said topic
But, she is showing that there was no present abuse or inappropriate conduct
Once again, I didn't say it was representative of all people on the left, and ***I have continued to clarify this for you over and over***
So, is it possible they didn't deem it necessary news for the day
Her saying "There was no abuse of inappropriate conduct" does not mean it never occurred lol
But, that means it wasn't necessarily pedophilic
What else would you call grown men hooting and hollering when a child takes off a piece of clothing at a bar?
an art performance? lol
This wasn't taking place in a theatre to a crowd, this was in *** a bar, an adult establishment ***
I would be arguing the exact same thing had the gender and sexual orientation of the patrons been different, the fact that you will not is very telling.
The simple claim I am making is when a priest is found to be molesting little boys, you don't typically see anybody on the right saying "Oh, well, that's just the church, rofl, totally normal!"
However, as seen even in this chat, something as gross as sexualizing a child for adult enjoyment is defended because it fits a specific world view and involves people who are part of specific groups that are typically viewed as the victims.
Ew
My thoughts exactly. If the roles here had been reversed, it would have widely been reported, pageants are reported on as pedophilic all the time since they feature little girls in scanty outfits going on stage for adults
yeah i mean i agree with the fact that the bar thing was wrong
This is a near exact same comparison but, once again, because it does not fit a specific left leaning world view, nothing. No internet outrage
Don't get me wrong, I have no issue with this person exploring "drag" in the private of their own home, but I cannot fathom how anybody can justify it occurring in front of adults, in public, or in a bar.
That was pretty fucked up
wait he started drag when he was 2
Yep, another reason Desmond is so controversial
What
I have seen a 4 year old eat dirt
?
yeah people should react to him the same way people react to beauty pageants
How can he possibly decide what he wants to wear and be at the age of 2
It is widely believed that Desmond is simply a puppet of the parents which is why @ashnaa quoting the parents is laughable at best
I was digging up insulation in my front dirt pit at the age of 2 lmao
Not considering if I wanted to be a drag queen
@Komrade Kam You went a bit quiet, do you have any further opinion on this issue or are you conceding?
oops
I agree with ashnaa, they should be treated the same, and the fact that many do not see the blatant parallels between the two is *very* telling
