Ok you're not the libertarian I'd thought of
I chose libertarian as a tag because it best represents my social viewpoints
same lol
But because labels are bad, I always have to clarify that I'm not a total economic libertarian
Ok that's cool
Idk what I am
Do you have something you're closest to?
What would you call yourself if you had to
I honestly don't know, the ideal economic system for me is one that exploits competition and markets while protecting workers rights and the individual consumer
So basically the Scandinavian countries economically
NOT SOCIALLY
Haha
just economically
I know what you are bro dw
We can keep it zip zipped 👍 👍

It's actually the most pragmatic way to think
Because you always have a fundemental foundation that everything is consequencial toward
But if you solely value markets because of freedom or any value you may have it's somewhat wishy washy and easier to dismantle
Why do you like free markets? Because I like freedom. Why do you like freedom? Because I want to be free.
Versus
Why do you like this economic policy? Because it helps people. Why do you want to help people? ....
The person deconstructing that just seems silly
I like mixed markets because they have proven to be the best possible driving force for innovation and the best regulator of supply and demand
I agree with that
Ebic
I don't know if it's that it is mixed
I think it's that your ideology is not the markets specifically and those are always subject to change
So whatever is best for x ought to be the case
Rather than because x I'd the best we ought to do x
You don't use a hammer for the sake of using a hammer
Right? Absolutism in ideology annoys the hell out of me
"this thing is bad in this case but good in this case"
"No its always good and should be used in everything"
Like thinking in a binary is so limiting
Idk sometimes I enjoy making limits
Like I'mma just believe the Earth is flat fuck it
Being a caveman is fun
You know, I've spent the most time discussing economics in gender issues and the most time discussing gender issues in economic issues
