Well I've kinda went full circle from ghetto rigged 3/8s steel torch cut to E/SAPI style and then covered in truckbed liner, to ar500s, to hoplites

I have lvl4 ar500 plates

You live and learn, but I was kinda always gonna get ceramics, it was just an issue of timing and funds

whats the difference between hoplite's swimmer plates and sapi plates?

Swimmers are a more aggressive cut, they're a little smaller but allow a wider range of motion, ie swimming

SAPI is the standard cut that you'd see out n about

I mean you do you, I use SAPIs, but I've also never used swimmers. Im a bigger guy, so I like as much coveage area as reasonably possible

Swimmer cut polyethylene plates: make sense.
Swimmer cut ceramics/steel: wtf. You'll be dumping your carrier as soon as you get into water deep enough for swimming
