hopefully my choice is a good one
At least go to a store and handle one
That's how I got my ppq
Picked it up and said wow this feels comfy
bbq
Pee pee q
bdd
Bbc
Big bore chamber
Big black compact
how do you guys feel about hammer vs striker
Theres a small velocity drop in striker fired guns
They're great for conceal carry depending on the size and one may argue also a bit more sturdy in dirty environments because of their non exposed firing mechanism, traditionally hammer fired guns can have shit get between the striker and hammer causing misfires
i see
this gun is just gonna be in my desk most of the time
so ill go for hammer
Literally just get whatever gun floats your boat, make sure its railed and that you enjoy the ergos of it and it's good quality
Get good ammo and training on it
yeah i know i just dont wanna buy it and then regret it
i have this autistic need to research every purchase super hard, except that my taste changes everytime i see a new gun
then im like no wait i want a 1911
god...
Oh no I get that dude
Half if not most of /k/ is like that
Sometimes just narrowed down into specific groups like Russian weapons or whatever
Goto a store, fondle some of them and be on your way
You can always sell and buy at a later point
true
What caliber and type of size you considering?
for size i would prefer compact
full size are too big for my tiny hands
and sub compact is too small
so glock 19 size i guess
as for caliber im down for 9mm, 40, and 45
as long as its got decent mag size for the last 2
and also its for home defense so preferably a rail on it for a light
And you've disqualified something like .38 pocket revolvers and the type?
yeah not a wheelgun kinda guy
What type of price point? I personally been looking at an HK P30 compact model
$630ish near me and it has a rail for attachments
