I have a question on the 'make America great again' slogan and a critique: How does Trump mean when he says MAGA when the history of the United States hasn't been the best. Veterans from both the world wars and Vietnam has been treated like shit when they returned and those coming back from prior his presidency has gotten minimal treatment and job opportunities. Minorities have a terrible history, having the 'war on drugs' being set-up to incarcerate them knowingly that it was an unfair, unethical and by today's standards illegal move that still has repercussions today. Our economy was terrible in the 1920s, the 60s and encouraged mobs and gangs with selling in the black/underground market. The housing crisis back in '08 caused many people thier homes and was also an economic downturn.

Should the slogan be "Make America Better" or something along those lines because despite as much as I respect the nation and our president I think the slogan is garnering a lot of criticism, and understandably so since American history has a lot of failures, sins and ''swamp'' that President Trump is working hard to clear up.

i think theres a need for something much more broad than just a twitter/reddit clone - plenty of those already exist. a lot of ultra-nerdy/libertarian types always go way off the deep end, demanding open source, totally decentralized, zero censorship, extreme privacy measures, etc etc etc etc. but those things tend to lead to a small insular community of extreme weirdos. im aiming instead for a wide audience of people who are open minded, but not extremely political or whatever. centralized and (partially) curated - at least at the early stages. need to start thinking way, way broader than just spinning up yet another platform that caters exclusively to the TD crowd and focusing political stuff.

2020-01-24 09:30:31 UTC

rather than a place for people to talk exclusively about politics, im aiming for it to be a place frequented by primarily right of center people, but where content is mostly NOT political.

i do like a lot of the principles behind aether - ephemeral posts could be a really good thing.

2020-01-25 20:54:09 UTC

Dissenter add-on is the one your thinking of

2020-01-25 21:10:25 UTC

Does anyone think think that the president will be impeached? And if so why would he be impeached?

2020-01-25 21:11:50 UTC

Well, he's already being impeached lel

2020-01-25 21:12:10 UTC

Removal? Not by a fucking large chance

2020-01-25 21:20:16 UTC

I feel that democrats , like Pelosi, and Clinton/Soros are attempting Russia 2016 hoax 2.0. Also They're been pushing impeachment shit like this out of their asses even before he got fucking elected.

2020-01-25 21:21:12 UTC

So, water is wet

2020-01-25 21:23:03 UTC

2020-01-25 21:24:16 UTC

November 3, but yeah

2020-01-25 21:25:08 UTC

Shit my bad

2020-01-25 21:25:58 UTC

We knew this would happen, so just focus and getting out and voting, and getting and many people as you can to vote as well

2020-01-25 21:26:16 UTC

Complacency and voter fraud are the only means to lose this election

2020-01-25 21:28:57 UTC

We need to start dividing the left.we do this by making fake twitter accounts that appear to be moderate lefties that post shit like "ICE is essential to the US biden 2020" and then the hardcore commie leftist will react with "bernie 2020" then you start dividing the left.

2020-01-25 21:29:28 UTC

No.

2020-01-25 22:01:11 UTC

The left is already eating its own

2020-01-25 22:01:16 UTC

2020-01-25 22:02:32 UTC

Besides, that would make us just like them

2020-01-25 22:02:40 UTC

We don't need to resort to shady methods

2020-01-25 22:20:48 UTC

Thanks for that got angry started typing all that.

2020-01-25 22:21:37 UTC

2020-01-25 23:47:52 UTC

2020-01-25 23:56:18 UTC

trumb

2020-01-26 05:05:27 UTC

Just scanning thru this and to put it in a basic gesalt for everyone to understand..theres 2 possible scenarios that both could result in an absolute win or catastrophic failure

Trump at rallies always has these inner thoughts fighting itself determinizing whether to stick with what got him elected and staying away from policies that Americans hated from Obama/Joe Biden(MAGA) OR to keep these keys of success away from the hands of what could be either a fight against Socialist Sanders(KAG)

So considering either result:
**1st possibility** - is if Trump were to go against Sander running on the policies of the KAG slogan, it would make sense since 'America wont ever be a socialist country' and it speak volumes when looking at the stock market,401k, annual salary increases, tax cuts and the people love that
BUT
If Trump were to stick to his old guns and run MAGA on Sanders, it werent work so well since Trump would bring up the forgotten family and both would be anti-establistment types and so it would be a battle of who is the cleaner guy and Trump's record wouldnt fit him so well since Trump hasnt necessarily drained the swamp enough and Sanders has vocally and politically been anti-swamp especially since theyre also both anti-war and given Trumps record, again, it wouldnt fit him since trump has only shown restraint against the war lobbyists and not actually ending wars or troop removal while Bernie has shown action like War Powers Act and decreasing military budget

**2nd possibility:**
If Trump were to run KAG against Biden, it wouldnt help because Biden essentially has some of Trump policies in his pocket too like Biden's position on immigration and labor markets since Biden doesnt want illegals taking jobs either
BUT
If Trump were to keep MAGA then it makes sense since nobody wants another Obama like presidency and trump can stick to things like draining the swamp, no more wars, no shitty healthcare, tax cuts, BUILD THE WALL, and *AMERICANISM NOT GLOBALISM*
