Here's a quick story for all of you, maybe it will produce a laugh:
I exhaled
Я русский бот, и я собираюсь вмешиваться в выборы в США.
I'm a 2L law student in Florida. At the end of one of my classes, I was talking to someone who had been sitting next to me for the semester thus far. One way or another it came up that I am an immigrant. He immediately launches into a spiel about how badly the country treats immigrants, and the abhorrent attitudes that are commonly held, and how he's sorry for any bad experiences I may have had in the current political climate. He then, with much cursing, remarks how the current president should be removed, and how motivated he is to help Bernie's campaign.
Ironically, I fled the Soviet Union.
Well ho-ly shit.
So throughout all that pandering and supposed sympathy, he advocates for the sort of thing I desperately never want to see again (including persecution)
so you are LITERALLY a russian bot?
I speak Russian actually, but I'm not Russian.
Mhm
*Heh*. **Ironic**
I am
I am Armenian and Georgian
my grandmother and her sister were murdered by the russians, and I was intentionally harmed by a nurse as a baby because of my last name
So, im about as far from a russian bot as possible.... (i mean yes, of course, bleep bloop)
I have a Polish friend who lives about 10 minutes away from Bremerton in Canada (near the border of Washington state) and his family dealt with the Russian persecution and communism. They fled to America hoping to leave that all behind, but not before the scars were formed.
He has stories, let me tell you. As I'm sure you do as well.
Quite so, yes.
Worth mentioning, I am not for open immigration either.
So he made a fool of himself all around
Hah, based.
i was tempted to pull my maga hat out of my backpack (which i carry everywhere)
but i decided to not trigger someone who will be sitting near me the entire semester
Smart
ive worn it to school before, students had debates with professors about whether I should be allowed on campus
because its disruptive and hateful, akin to wearing a white hood
Ouch
That sounds just retartarded
Yes, it does.
Par for the course in academia for whatever reason
I remember the first day I wore it, my best friend at school literally cried, and then went up to me and made a lengthy speech about how she would still accept me
I just.... wore a damn hat
Ikr. It's kind of stupid how clothing is a trigger now.
If they think they're doing you a favor for "accepting you" after wearing a damn hat, then, they were not your friend to begin with. At all.
Ngl he has a point. If someone judges you for a hat there's something up with them
I got *really* close to redpilling that friend, but she's currently stuck on "yeah, YOU can defend your positions and have policy reasons for supporting him, but he still enables and represents racists and horrible people!"
...*sigh*...
