is this legit homies
We told you everything already
Believe it or not
They haven't been banning people for upvoting yet
Tariffing is also not enough. Businesses need to be given incentives and punishments for doing the right and wrong things.
Tariffs are incentives/punishments tho
Unless you completely embargo a country, a fractional tax on select goods will barely dent companies.
You dont need to ruin them, only until your domestic industry is competitive
As for barely dent i disagree
I'm not saying it's necessary to destroy these companies, but they can handle a 10% hike. Companies are producing the majority of their product in China.
*Or other Asian countries
They can sell at a loss if they want frankly. Whats important is that our own manufacturing isnt choked out or entirely exported
We need manufacturing in America
Companies are actually moving to South Asia at alarming rates as well, to avoid the political cross-fire between US and China
So we can dominate the rest of the world in a war
And zeph is right.
If a war happens, its us versus everyone and I don't want them having us by the balls
I want to help forward automation to further this goal
I wish there was a voice channel here to discuss. I hate typing on mobile
We should never have to lose another citizen in war ever again
An example of the ideal American market can be seen in the 1950s. The ethics were clearly superior.
Laws can't replace morality and culture of the people
With a good culture, people would be much more hesitant to exploit workers
This is not necessarily true. Morality and culture haven't evolved naturally over the past 50 years. Both have been molded by celebrities or corporations.
Look at south korea
They really don't like firing people even if they perform at low value
Because of supporting their family
It's all about hours
Different countries have different moral standards, so businesses tend to act differently in each country. I can agree on that.
But in the West, it seems that businesses have pushed this ultra-progressive agenda. They've been very successful at liberalizing the population.
That's a multi-faceted problem
That's not only businesses doing that
Yes, it's also celebrities and politicians.
Government pressure, school indoctrination, parents that don't teach their children
We've let them do their thing for decades
Only after seeing the damage do people say, we should do something!
I know it's a fashionable meme, but seriously, I know so many boomers that caused this shit
They had the mindset of: "not my generation, not my problem"
Esp when many were hippies
