@GeoChaucer low earnings > rationalize lower earnings instead of finding creative and lucrative solutions to problems > lower earnings > cycle repeat

2020-03-12 00:57:17 UTC

this chat is a committee meeting of PhD-holding-macro-economists

2020-03-12 00:58:39 UTC

That chart measures 2017.

2020-03-12 00:58:58 UTC

Doesn't measure 2018, 2019

2020-03-12 00:59:24 UTC

there we go

2020-03-12 00:59:48 UTC

Also, the suicide rate didn't spike up during the 2008 recession. That was your justification?

2020-03-12 01:00:11 UTC

chris im not sure why everyone's bootyblasted. can you just explicitly rail out a controversial opinion we can argue over?

2020-03-12 01:00:41 UTC

Didn't say it spiked look at the numbers, it stays pretty stable from 2000 to 2007 then starts rising after 2008 @christiam

2020-03-12 01:00:48 UTC

I have a Ph.D in retarded chat

2020-03-12 01:01:50 UTC

please. i wrote my dissertation entirely in tard speak.

2020-03-12 01:02:29 UTC

its starting

2020-03-12 01:04:19 UTC

It's surprisingly difficult to find suicide stats after 2017. Regardless, 2016 and 2017 were economic good times, the suicide rate would hypothetically decrease.

2020-03-12 01:04:55 UTC

Plus, let's not disregard cultural factors. Japan has a huge suicide rate because of hard-line conformism and work-culture.

2020-03-12 01:05:21 UTC

Holy fuck. He just said Europeans not allowed.

2020-03-12 01:05:29 UTC

Polly most of the suicides will be tranny and lefty

2020-03-12 01:06:09 UTC

@christiam 2018 and 2019 were much better economically

2020-03-12 01:06:58 UTC

maybe they all just berned out

2020-03-12 01:07:19 UTC

I'd suspect that 2016 and 2017 increase to be due in large part to political division

2020-03-12 01:07:23 UTC

I know that, but nonetheless, 2016 + 2017 were good years. Why didn't the suicide rate decrease? It's pretty clear that suicide is not determined purely by economic factors, although that is probably a factor.

2020-03-12 01:07:45 UTC

Spurred on by mainstream media and talking heads in influential spheres

2020-03-12 01:08:11 UTC

Political divisions were deep, I don't think that the elections caused suicides though. That's a little absurd.

2020-03-12 01:08:19 UTC

In 2016 and 2017 there was no firm center in politics but that's changed a lot

2020-03-12 01:08:44 UTC

Maybe for the trannies though, they know what's coming. *in minecraft

2020-03-12 01:09:01 UTC

isnt the suicide rate for post-op trans people like... above 50%?

2020-03-12 01:09:10 UTC

Well there are alot of mental people. You seen them doing hate crimes on themselves. And driving cars into people. So I guess there was some. And yes @Jensenp

2020-03-12 01:09:35 UTC

Attempted suicide rate, but that's still high.

2020-03-12 01:10:01 UTC

@Jensen it's the same for pre and post op
