well at least they cant use the "muh racism" card with closing off europe

2020-03-17 16:37:29 UTC

Does anyone have a compilation is something of screenshots of Bernie bros being racist to blacks when he lost Super Tuesday, I wasn’t paying any attention online and not engaging so I missed it, I just wanna see some purely for entertainment

2020-03-17 16:40:58 UTC

I could use 1k Rn as well

2020-03-17 16:41:36 UTC

It’ll be great for the economy. It’s the most efficient way to stimulate the economy and stop the recession that’s headed this way

2020-03-17 16:42:45 UTC

Great response to the situation and great leadership by trump for taking such a bold step in the right direction.

Maybe This will lead us toward UBI. Definitely baby steps and great all around for our communities. Especially rural areas

2020-03-17 16:43:24 UTC

I understand 1k during a crisis

2020-03-17 16:43:41 UTC

But not ubi in normal times

2020-03-17 16:43:55 UTC

It all depends how you fund it

2020-03-17 16:44:19 UTC

If the objective is to cut social welfare completely UBI is a great replacement

2020-03-17 16:44:59 UTC

Many people abused our welfare system by not working and staying underneath a certain salary. Some even avoid paying taxes by not reporting income.

UBI gets rid of all that.

2020-03-17 16:45:00 UTC

Ideally I would want to do away with all of those

2020-03-17 16:45:29 UTC

But that won’t happen because we live in a fucked up world

2020-03-17 16:45:37 UTC

In Alaska you get an oil dividend.

You know what’s worth more than oil right Now?

2020-03-17 16:45:50 UTC

What?

2020-03-17 16:45:55 UTC

Your data. Facebook, google and amazon make billions off of you

2020-03-17 16:46:07 UTC

Hmm

2020-03-17 16:46:30 UTC

If you put a Value added tax on these big tech companies that already pay 0 in taxes then you divert that “dividend” back into the American pockets

2020-03-17 16:46:53 UTC

Wym 0 taxes

2020-03-17 16:47:03 UTC

The money would go back into the economy creating thousands of new businesses

2020-03-17 16:47:38 UTC

Amazon paid 0 in taxes. The way they do it is by investing and reporting loss by putting out new stocks if I’m not mistaken

2020-03-17 16:48:33 UTC

Fuck that

2020-03-17 16:48:38 UTC

It’s a smart move from amazon. They’re sucking up billions of dollars from local retail stores. You can’t compete against amazon. Many malls will close.

If you had a value added tax on amazon production wether they pay 0 in annual taxes or not they would still be paying on innovation

2020-03-17 16:48:53 UTC

No no no to 1k

2020-03-17 16:49:02 UTC

Think about it as a “data dividend”

2020-03-17 16:49:15 UTC

Just give a tax holiday if anything to the working class

2020-03-17 16:49:21 UTC

why not just lower taxes lol

2020-03-17 16:49:22 UTC

These tech companies aren’t going anywhere and they’re going to continue to destroy small businesses in our local communities

2020-03-17 16:49:48 UTC

That’s the problem when amazon closes all those retail jobs in your community people won’t have a job so a tax cut won’t help them

2020-03-17 16:50:04 UTC

The objective is to create more businesses.

2020-03-17 16:50:09 UTC

Put more money back in working class government should not be taking money from us anyways

2020-03-17 16:50:24 UTC

Yes but if there are no jobs what would a tax cut do??

2020-03-17 16:50:46 UTC

It will continue funding industries

2020-03-17 16:50:58 UTC

Big companies will replace workers with automation to save money. Truck driving is one of the most common jobs in 23 states. They’re already working on self driving trucks

2020-03-17 16:51:01 UTC

giving everyone 1k doesnt create businesses lol

2020-03-17 16:51:32 UTC

What’s going to happen to all the truck drivers making 70k a year? It does create business. What do you think people waste the money on? Goods and services

2020-03-17 16:51:34 UTC

It just takes money from working to distribute to non working we already have welfare

2020-03-17 16:52:01 UTC

i'm actually okay with liquidating welfare and using money instead.

2020-03-17 16:52:26 UTC

takes the overhead out of the equation

2020-03-17 16:52:26 UTC

I’ve been watching a lot of John stossel videos lately, he explores smaller issues in local governments, like regulations and such, and there are lots of them which discourage entrepreneurship and generally bad for economy, you can also see some blatant corruption, crazy stuff, in more worried about those laws and infringements on human rights because only way to get rid of those is to sue the government which will take time and a lot of money, most ordinary people will just not bother to deal with it leading to more tyrrany

2020-03-17 16:52:38 UTC

We’re going to lose jobs regardless of what you think. Look at stores around you like CVS and Walmart. They replaced cashier with self serving kiosk. Imagine that on a national scale

2020-03-17 16:53:04 UTC

Yes long term play what does society look like
