If you look at Germany right now, it's a mess. After WW2, every German institution was manipulated by the various occupation governments. It was paramount that these institutions placed collective guilt on the German people. They would make average German schoolkids to look at concentration camps. They framed nationalism as the cause of these atrocities. The result? Within 70 years, there are barely any nationalistic Germans left.
