Animals don't evolve to drink milk beyond the stage where they need it from their mothers. Most of the gut enzyme that allows lactose to be processed disappears. Except with humans, we have adapted to drinking milk into maturity.

I’m not lactose intolerant, it does cause constipation which can be problematic. I don’t know the extent of my disease
