Why is Ciri a black guy....
Are they just making up their own version of the witcher ?
after they said they are gonna follow the books strictly, so strict that they are gonna have geralt not have a beard, because he supposedly hates beards
Wait so Ciri is a black guy in the books then... Ok
Well actually maybe it's a good thing. As much as I give the witcher 3 9/10 it would be interesting to see a different story unfold
No beard on Geralt T-T
Boycott
no no no screw that we dont want a different witcher version
You want the game version ??
then we want an alternate version of black panther as well
and white zulus
But you already know the story, what's the point
Hhahahhah
Hell yeah
The whites were forced under after years of black oppresiveness
And so was born
Pretori-kanda
i already know the story of X, thats a weak argument for changing the lore of an established world/franchise with both games and books that are similiar. a spin off would only hurt the brand
the games arent technicallty cannon but they are lore friendly and happen after the books
It's not a spin-off. It's the story of the books. The Witcher 3 is technically a spin-off by your logic
Ok but wouldn't it be better to not know how the story ends
in this case i would consider a spin-off/revamp/retelling to be one in which they change races, languages, settings, lore etc
Sure
But I mean if they're sticking to the books what's the problem
thats the thing they are not sticking to the books by making ciri black
Have you read the books and don't like the ending or something in the books story?
But you said earlier ,"after they said they are gonna follow the books strictly, so strict that they are gonna have geralt not have a beard, because he supposedly hates beards"
and if they were to do so they would need to justify it with something other than virtue signaling
Ok I understand your issue now
And I agree
That's pretty dumb if it's just to please people's "racism" alerts
geralt having a beard in the games can be justified, in the games Yen or Triss (cant remember who) asked him why he grew a beard seeing as he never liked them and then he comments "i have kinda gotten used to it"
small change easily justified and explained
This doesn't make sense
They want to stick to the books, but completely change a character
...
Wot
haha no man , i think i confused you, the game largely sticks to the lore of the books and add to it in a way where it would be fittin and lore friendly.
Netflix/The producers of the SERIES said they are gonna follow the books strictly
so i was using their statement against them, being so strict to the lore that geralt will be clean shaven, but then 5min after that saying they are gonna make a MAJOR character black/not part of the lore
