will be leagues ahead of any cheap carrier in terms of comfort and quality

and the reasons to not buy a cheap carrier is because plates will tear through your platebags, they're generally uncomfortable, lack adjustability, won't let your plates ride correctly, and have awfully stitched and offspec molle

if you're willing to wait for a deal, you can often pick up a used jpc for about $120 or so, as far as budget carriers, you can't do better
