In a perfect world we'd be hunting bears with grenade launchers.
😢
There was a guy in CT who hunted with rifle grenades. He said if he couldn't take out the critter with the intert training round the fellow diserved to live to see another day
But call me old fashioned but chasing a herd(?) of pigs in a chopper with an AR shooting every last one of them isn't exactly minimising the experience for them is it.
Considering they are a pest species that attack pretty much everything else. There are no limits on them in TX.
Also they can be dangerous.
In fact if the population continues to grow, the state might call out the National Guard and or State Defense Force to do the same thing
Go ham then. No pun intended.
I shot one that crossed a rail road track, a store parking lot, four lane road into my apartment's parking lot and went after some kids. Took me two shots to the head to drop it with a Kalashnikov pattern carbine
Big heads. Little brains.
Yeah, a boar's shield(huge chunk of cartilage or whatever surrounding their vital organs) makes them really hard to kill without heavy firepower. And even then they're famous for their tenacity
bleeding out doesn't particularly hurt
and of course you don't have any nerves internally
City PD and County SD did a quick investigation and cleared me by the end of the night. I didn't get to keep the meat
what
If you're hunting a moose or bear with a bow you are at a significant disadvantage. You have to get close and those things can kill you no problem.
so a hit from a bow or crossbow is a small cut
no
*feels like
And unless you hit brain or heart you're not going to take it down.
ye, sensory receptors. you don't have any pain receptors inside
or have very limited, they exist in places like your intestine in limited amounts
nerves obviously permeate your entire body
mistranslation on my end
Getting shot by an arrow is not going to feel the same as getting a 'small cut'.
depends on what you mean by small. I suppose light stab would be more appropriate, even though hunting arrows are designed to cut
Arrows really hurt.
have any of you ever been stabbed?
I've never taken an arrow but I've been stabbed in the leg and I've had punches that hurt more.
it doesn't hurt at all until way later, and of course a dumb animal not seeking medical treatment would just bleed out on a good hit
yeah, punches generally hurt a lot more (initially)
Sort of, it was a blunted end of a training spear, still sucked
It's the aching that comes for days after that's a pain . But there's no telling if thats just the adrenalin.
@da britian Man, that image is such a dog's breakfast
M16 style handle, no muzzle brake, holding what looks like a handgun cartridge
curved magazine?

here for example is a very good hit, but as you can see the pain is on the level where the elk merely flinches, and then as soon as it's depleted it's existing oxygen it's out cold
Front sight higher than rear sight???
Got a picture Xorgy?
