Atkins, feel free to disagree, but my thing is for every Semi-auto you have you need ATLEAST 3 magazines. A range mag (in your range bag), a Ready Mag (for when things go bad) and a Blue Mag (With snap caps for training).

If you want to learn about practical gear, like hoslters, chest rigs, packs, etc, believe it or not /k/ isn't that bad.

Let me put it this way, my Rifle belt has six x 20 mags plus the Ready mag.

My rig has 4x2 mag pouches, plus one in the gun.

My Carbine belt has 8 x 30 Mags not including Ready, Range or Blue

I'd say have a set of mags for your rig, a set for the range, plus some mags for special purposes (like blue for training, etc). Rotate between your range and chest rig mags. That's bare minimum.

Places that are selling to cops are better than just going to a big chain store.

If they have a range that means you can try it before you buy it.
