I should build a semi automatic 7.62x51

M14 would be a good choice

i have an AR10

AR10 is a good choice too

I don't like some of the parts differences

i mean its a semi auto 7.62

But availability would probably be best with the AR

yeah plus i didnt feel like buying parts and waiting for them to get here and dont like the AK look

I'd rather have something free floated

I haven't looked into lighter barrels in 7.62x51

Nice carbon fiber handguards; A1 length fixed stock

yeah ill take adjustable all day

but my barrel is free floating btw

I consider adjustable to be silly

the only use case is when you need to deal with plates

i dont like the clunky look of a fixed barrel

Even with plates A1 length is perfect for me

I'm sure smaller people would have problems with it tho

i just dont like the look of it

I have this carbon fiber + polymer one

im not dumping the money for carbon fiber lol

it was flimsy until I filled it with expanding foam

now it's really nice and snug

yeah ill just take a slap on adjustable stock

i think the stock that came with mine was magpul tho

the CTRs are nice

I have a UBR on my SPR

and it never changes position
