Thus making the laws useless if they're not gonna enforce them

as functional as a vertical foregrip, say, a stock on an AK serves no inherent mechanical purpose and is just there to give you better control over the weapon, which is why you can make cuties like this

as in, not sure if you legally can in the US, but there's nothing stopping you from making one purely mechanically
