tl;dr communism is where the labour (proletariat) control the means of production but cannot claim ownership of product
then i clearly have communism and welfare mixed up
thats funny
communism big gay
welfare ehh
maybe?
if implemented well it's really just about giving equal opportunity, giving the people who would otherwise stack up at "0" a "1"
yeah and i cant really see whats wrong with that
in your dinner table analogy, you step in and ensure the 2 year old who has no means to get food on his/her own gets enough to eat, so the 2 year old has the opportunity to grow up and become something
well i had to give my little sisters and brothers a portion of my mac and cheese alot
which was gei
so i guess i can say welfare works well in small communities just not nation wide
how so? The Nordic countries are doing alright, Sweden's migrant issue being unrelated
so i guess my house was state enfoced welfare?
sure
well theres alot of little countries in europe size wise
you've probably got a point there, welfare systems need constant trimming and re-evaluation to keep the bloat down and efficiency up, which of course gets exponentially harder the larger any given community is
it's easy to explain
the left sees social programs as charity, the right sees it as investment
imo, if the welfare isn't working as investment, it's throwing money down the drain
also, charity by the state will feed itself
meaning that the leeches will continue to increase
until the system collapses
so what do you suggest we do with blind paraplegics with no family?
gas chamber?
create a dating app and get them married off as dependents
i.e. people who, through no fault of their own, never can be an investment
kek
tbh probably is a fetish for that
its not our fault if an autistic child cant feed themselves thats just natural selection at that point
autistic folks can still get into relationships and get private support, however welfare support of initial education for the kid goes a long way to help
they can be independent
thats alot of sunk cost for welfare
at that point
getting an autistic person into a position where they can be somewhat independent is an investment on the future system not a drag
true
