and with ever improving technology and innovation theres no reason why the economy necessarily will collapse or be unable to pay for a huge welfre state in perpetuity

2019-02-03 21:16:41 UTC

running out of oil

2019-02-03 21:16:44 UTC

no i don't think tis a good idea, that's why im a based pro trump crypto fascist

2019-02-03 21:16:55 UTC

we aren't running out of oil, nig

2019-02-03 21:17:01 UTC

yes we are

2019-02-03 21:17:04 UTC

that's a meme from the 19702s

2019-02-03 21:17:08 UTC

*1970s

2019-02-03 21:17:11 UTC

we aren't 😂

2019-02-03 21:17:12 UTC

we have been for 50 years

2019-02-03 21:17:18 UTC

🤦

2019-02-03 21:17:25 UTC

google "fracking"

2019-02-03 21:17:30 UTC

youre 100% wrong

2019-02-03 21:17:36 UTC

i used to work in oil and gas

2019-02-03 21:20:39 UTC

google historical oil reserves graph. it expresses constant growth but also expresses a slowing growth over the last 50 years with no signs of improvement. fracking is one of the most advanced and energy intensive methods of removing oil from the ground we have found. its the edge of oil extracting technology. not to mention not all oil is the same, which is why venesualla having one of the biggest oil reserves in the world doesent have very valuible oil, because its mostly pure energy oil without any useful biproducts to extract from it

2019-02-03 21:21:25 UTC

luckly our energy is moving away from coal and oil but our vehicles are going to have a hard time doing it as is international transportation of goods and people, most importantly shipping

2019-02-03 21:22:36 UTC

not to mention those valuible biproducts, if they arnt present in the oil you have then your going to find yourself without a good source of most polyetholins that the planet basicly relys on at this point for 50% of our infastructure not to mention all wiring

2019-02-03 21:23:40 UTC

our relience on oil is very fragile, its a finite resource

2019-02-03 21:24:34 UTC

not to mention that going back to our origenal conversation about how the selective factors are no longer there for lower classes, thats not the case for higher classes in society, and selective factors have always been weaker for lower classes anyway

2019-02-03 21:26:14 UTC

now the big problem is the shrinking middle class, because its going to be very difficult to jump from low class to high class which is historically consistant for both western and other cultures. the middle class was very important for the improvements to inteligence within the european population groups due to how it was selective for inteligence while also being approachible economicly by lower classes

2019-02-03 21:27:18 UTC

we also got boosts from the plagues but i think alt hype covers those well enough youve probably heard that before

2019-02-03 21:39:49 UTC

oy vey, wall of text

Did you know that it takes 410 days for reincarnation, Adolf Hitler died and then 410 days later Donald J Trump was born

2019-02-03 21:41:29 UTC

theres huge KNOWN oil reserves remaining. Add to that the fact that improved technology will allow deep sea oil be etracted that hasn't been discorvered yet. plus Antarctic oil etc etc etc
tl;dr the welfare state is NOT going to collapse coz we run out of oil anytime soon @Arch-Fiend

2019-02-03 21:42:39 UTC

"technology that hasent been invented yet" isint the kind of technology id bet my future on

2019-02-03 21:43:00 UTC

also yes, my arguement was based on the KNOWN oil reserves remaining

2019-02-03 21:43:26 UTC

also not going to hedge my future on the oil reserves that havent been discovered yet

2019-02-03 21:43:28 UTC

the technology has been invented, they can already discover and extract deep sea oil, the point is that the technology is only going to improve

2019-02-03 21:44:07 UTC

your selling me a car telling me the engine hasent been invented yet and not letting me look under the hood until i buy it

2019-02-03 21:44:10 UTC

so youre making the same mistake people made in the 1970s when they first got hysterical about peak oil

2019-02-03 21:44:55 UTC

yes...mistake...ofcourse thats what it is, that mistake that did...so many dangerous things...just give me a moment and ill mention all of them becauise theres so many of them

2019-02-03 21:45:06 UTC

im not at all. im selling you a car that's got a KNOWN 200 year lifetime warranty PLUS the almost certain fact of constant improvements

2019-02-03 21:45:30 UTC

yes exactly like i said

2019-02-03 21:45:35 UTC

Peak Oil was conclusively wrong. wtf are you talking about?

2019-02-03 21:45:49 UTC

actually it wasent

2019-02-03 21:45:53 UTC

🤦

2019-02-03 21:45:57 UTC

it was retard

2019-02-03 21:46:06 UTC

do some damn basic research

2019-02-03 21:46:30 UTC

predictions about the time that we would stop increasing the known oil reserve was wrong, but the theory of peak oil isint wrong, we are in peak oil right now

2019-02-03 21:46:52 UTC

show me where in the peak oil nonsense they predicted that America would become the worlds biggest producer of oil in the 2010's

2019-02-03 21:46:54 UTC

ill wait
