google historical oil reserves graph. it expresses constant growth but also expresses a slowing growth over the last 50 years with no signs of improvement. fracking is one of the most advanced and energy intensive methods of removing oil from the ground we have found. its the edge of oil extracting technology. not to mention not all oil is the same, which is why venesualla having one of the biggest oil reserves in the world doesent have very valuible oil, because its mostly pure energy oil without any useful biproducts to extract from it

luckly our energy is moving away from coal and oil but our vehicles are going to have a hard time doing it as is international transportation of goods and people, most importantly shipping

not to mention those valuible biproducts, if they arnt present in the oil you have then your going to find yourself without a good source of most polyetholins that the planet basicly relys on at this point for 50% of our infastructure not to mention all wiring

our relience on oil is very fragile, its a finite resource

not to mention that going back to our origenal conversation about how the selective factors are no longer there for lower classes, thats not the case for higher classes in society, and selective factors have always been weaker for lower classes anyway

now the big problem is the shrinking middle class, because its going to be very difficult to jump from low class to high class which is historically consistant for both western and other cultures. the middle class was very important for the improvements to inteligence within the european population groups due to how it was selective for inteligence while also being approachible economicly by lower classes

we also got boosts from the plagues but i think alt hype covers those well enough youve probably heard that before
