Prefer referring to anime as "Japanese Children's Cartoons" as my joke name for it.
i usually just go with ching chong cartoons
Which is why Kill la Kill is my favorite Japanese Children's Cartoon.
Lol
and my favorite ching chong cartoon is cory in the house
Anime can be offensive term, please refer to it as cartoon for autistic children. Thank you
Cory in the house is anime of the century prove me wrong
@Tohob can't wait for an american studio to call their cartoon a **ching chong cartoon**
also, is shelter anime? i remember that one getting people banned from r/anime
yes
it was directed by a canadian tho
70's Japanese Children's Cartoon
was done for the japanese market (also for the outside, but still)
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Best opening in the world
so if japan made something for a non-japanese market, it wouldn't be anime?
Jaden Smith's .. thing.. ??
cuz they've been globalizing the hell out of anime recently
Well good luck because I already posted the best one.
It's not even close after that.
@Tohob the problem with defining the boundary is.. what's your intent on doing so?
Jaden Smith’s..........thing uuuuhghghhh
Nooooooooo
Re:Cutie Honey suuuuucks.
i'm actually making the opposite point, when you try to define a strict boundary it starts getting ridiculous and convoluted and you might as well just leave a big fuzzy border where things can be anime or not
Take dat bak U!
Mean.
also i would post the best ED in anime, but iirc youtube removed all instances of it
if you don't want strict term, just use animation
problem solved
@Tohob I defined it in a simple way. It has to be done for the japanese market
yeah but i like `anime`
the fuzzy border isn't relevant
yeah but japan is increasingly making anime with the global market in mind
I am posting this with the other CH ops: https://youtu.be/jCX77Je16fk
so?
so by that definition, in 20 years time there might not be such a thing as anime anymore
