The Americans don't legally enforce their rating systems, as far as I know you could probably sell a kid a horror without consequence, in Australia where it is legally enforced, it would be a crime.

If you want to kill some time, I recommend looking up the official Aussie & reading the rating guidelines & what movies are hit with it, if I remember correctly, *Kill la Kill* got the max rating without getting banned & one of the things it was hit with is "Extreme Sexual Violence" for what ever that means.
