Just finished watching Wag The Dog

the movie obviously has a leftist bent but it's still an excellent dissection of how the Deep State and the media manufacture wars and stories out of thin air for political expedience

reminded me a lot of the Iran situation in January

This is a pretty interesting documentary I watched it was about how a Russian brigade was wiped out in an attack on Grozny in the first Chechen war and the Russian government was trying to cover it up and the mothers of the soldiers are trying to find out what happened to them

Would recommend but it’s not for the faint of heart

the russians showed them they have that in ample supply

@vexmasina44 Yeah The first Chechen war was a shit show the second one was much better organized because Putin was able to plan it out better than the Russians last time

the russians were dishonest
but then again
truth is the 1st casualty of the war
other countries
especially americans
would "never" lie to their citizens about the wars they fight
right?

Yeah a lot of countries aren’t honest in war tbh

and soldiers dont have
"treat enemy civillians you would your family training in boot camp"
obviusly
in ww2 the italians and germans massacred our people on our country
and tried to colonize it by force
we returned the favor to their combatants and civillians on our territory
there is no honor in war, only vengance

I did realize through in the doc that it was biased against the Russians or at the least it was showing a lot more of the Chechen side than the Russian side which is interesting considering that the doc focuses on the RUSSIAN mothers of the fallen not the chechens
