boeing surivives because they hold duopoly on aircraft manufacturing alongside airbus

2020-04-13 18:04:20 UTC

It's nice and all to put a "made in America" sticker on a car when it's 95% of the manufacturing process in different countries

2020-04-13 18:04:51 UTC

I actually think it should be mandatory to put on a list every country involved in the manufacturing process of goods

2020-04-13 18:06:08 UTC

I think china did the same when blumpf imposed tarrifs
the chinese have for years started shifting manufacturing to vietnam and malaysia. like they complete 95% of the phone in china, but complete last 5% in malaysia and brand it made in malaysia sticker and avoid tarrifs that way

2020-04-13 18:06:29 UTC

Yes

2020-04-13 18:07:57 UTC

Boeing survives because it is part of the MIC.

2020-04-13 18:08:08 UTC

indeed

2020-04-13 18:09:08 UTC

which is why they can push out crappy planes, suffer a dip in sales and still survive
because the goverment will bail them out

2020-04-13 18:09:50 UTC

and hiring crappy programmers from India dooming their 737Max.

2020-04-13 18:10:49 UTC

literally everything about modern industry is supressing workers unions and minimising production costs lol

2020-04-13 18:11:21 UTC

like what ever happened to making the best product and being better than your competition

2020-04-13 18:11:24 UTC

Stonks must go higher!

2020-04-13 18:12:07 UTC

Free trade completely erased the bargaining power of workers

2020-04-13 18:12:36 UTC

Idk why leftists haven't realized that free trade is the biggest issue facing workers in the west

2020-04-13 18:12:54 UTC

They just go "muh sweatshops"

2020-04-13 18:13:24 UTC

They did. See the WTO protests in Seattle. They just got beat.

2020-04-13 18:13:36 UTC

which is why NATO and Eu must be broken up
return to pre ww1 geopolitics
every nation is self sufficient in production and resources
bring back colonialism

2020-04-13 18:13:46 UTC

They dislike the WTO because third worldism

2020-04-13 18:14:00 UTC

No
they got subverted and bought out

2020-04-13 18:14:13 UTC

After they were beat/

2020-04-13 18:14:15 UTC

same with occupy wall street

2020-04-13 18:14:42 UTC

Without the EU we'd be target practice and not at all self sufficient

2020-04-13 18:14:59 UTC

Autarky is usually not viable without controlling quite the chunk of land

2020-04-13 18:14:59 UTC

EU is a bulwark against America.

2020-04-13 18:15:10 UTC

Slovakia will never be a real country

2020-04-13 18:15:16 UTC

Without the Eu there wouldnt have been the massive refugee crisis of 2015

2020-04-13 18:15:29 UTC

It would've happened regardless lmao

2020-04-13 18:15:34 UTC

It's mostly about who's in charge of the EU

2020-04-13 18:15:59 UTC

The EU is a stage
Don't burn down the stage but remove the actors

2020-04-13 18:16:12 UTC

Same with national governments

2020-04-13 18:16:32 UTC

We don't see people arguing for the dissolution of Germany because of "Berlin"

2020-04-13 18:16:39 UTC

As if the state itself has a soul

2020-04-13 18:16:55 UTC

The reason the EU is shit is its members

2020-04-13 18:17:05 UTC

Fix the members and you fix it

2020-04-13 18:17:07 UTC

You people put too much faith in EU
its just a faceless burocracy thats importing arabs and africans into europe

2020-04-13 18:17:31 UTC

Smash into pieces you just get a bunch of weaker mini EUs

2020-04-13 18:17:44 UTC

And a bunch of antionalists with a false sense of accomplishment

2020-04-13 18:18:26 UTC

It would be easy to change up the EU considering the parliamentary elections barely have any participation

2020-04-13 18:18:40 UTC

If the right turns out in full force we can block all their shit

2020-04-13 18:19:04 UTC

You want to fix the EU you have to fix your nation, you want to fix your nation you have to unironically "clean your room" then help your neighbor clean his room.

2020-04-13 18:19:15 UTC

and on and on
