As far as I'm concerned nuke fractional reserve banking

Raise the minimum deposits required

Have central banks in state hands

Don't lend to private banks

Is fractional reserve banking private ?

Yes

it's currently done by private banks

Even libertarians hate it though

Banks can just expand the money supply willy nilly

Why would making banking state owned fix anything

cause the government secure $200,000 of your bank account in case a bank run happens

the banks said "bet"

They still have an incentive to inflate and print money

I'm not saying have all banking in state hands

I want the central banks aka the ones that print money in state hands

And I want the practice of fractional reserve banking gone

They deposit only a tiny percentage of your money

Central banks lend to private banks

They're separate from governments

Trump can't tell the Federal reserve to print more to pay for soemthign for example

Central banks try to keep inflation at around 2%

By lending money to private banks

It's honestly a nonsensical system

But bankers love it

Fractional reserve banking doesn't technically require central banks though

It's just two cancers

Just end banking

Banking has some utility

But lending out other people's money has to stop
