I'll give one for now.
Only a jew would conceive of a religion where god knocked up his own mom to create himself millennia after creating her
Councils or meetings of the clergy. Was a Catholic tradition which was derived from Pagan practice of the meeting of the tribes.
Which was a Indo-Eroupean practice on selecting the Clergy of there Pagan tribes through election. But it widely differed among the tribes.
Also Localization of Prostantism was also a pagan tradition which helped mold the faith in the national spirit or fabric of the region.
You see this within the lesser Catholic regions of Germany.
These are just so stories
How so?.
Explain your thinking.
You take a thing pagans did and see a parallels to how prots do it know. Show how it came from paganism itself
How is a council pagan
I don't understand what your saying
Is Shintoism descended from European paganism because they to localize their Faith's
Or spirituality
Protestantism is reformed catholicism which is roman-pagan and jewish-christian syncretism. The most commonly cited examples are things like the religious holidays coinciding with the lunar calendar or whatever, but the deification of people ( saints ) is another example. If you go purely on the basis of whats contained in the bible like Evangelicals then there's no real basis for religious idolatry ( statues, paintings ) or religiously observed holidays.
It's ambiguous whether you're even supposed to have physical church buildings under strictly biblical christianity
That's why I'm a prot
Where else would you meet without a church
Well protestantism is germanified romanified jewish christianity
^
Lol.
The whole reason you are suddenly allowed to be married as a priest and stuff is just because Luther had specific german values
He wanted to slam his lovely german wife have a big german family and drink beer and burn books
Lmao.
That's also why he broke with tradition and published in vernacular or the common language as opposed to exclusively latin which was also a sin
Or at least widely considered heretical
Also, If your wondering why the concils were not semetic. Look at the Semetic reilgions they have no notions of election witihin there Priesthood.
There priesthood like that of Zoroastrianism and Islam and of course old Judism. Was centrealized and was lacked any notion of election or localization. With Protestantism it differed as you lacked a centrealized head and the priesthood could look a the bible in different interprataions.
That is a litteral pagan tradition if you don't believe me look up Preisthood of Pagan tribes and Compare them towards the Christan and Protestant model's.
But which Bible verse prevents clergy from marrying. The tradition is based on Paul's advice to remain celibate, it's not concrete
Also, this one is just my own opnion on the subject. Moderation when it came down to worship. Catholic tradition is mostly steeped within Romano-Greco Tradition of Classical archtecture and Philsophy, Protestanitsm lacked that. While protestanism based upon Germanic tradition (which most of there so called temples were just forests to Reflect on) they did not believe that you had to worship in "Style". So they believed in a notion of worshiping in modesty and self reflection.
Which Protestanism promotes.
Maybe. I can't really continue arguing this on my phone. Anyways it's not that big of a deal if you take on different cultural practices so long as it does not conflict with scripture
Mhm.
Any way what do you SDA's even do?.
How do you even worship because from looking at it, it looks very semetic.
We worship God
Alright there smart ass, meaning what are your cultural practices.
We have have the Sabbath where we abstain from work and go to church for a sermon and have lunch afterwards. You use Saturday as a day to rest from labour and worldy things . Using the time to read the Bible or some other religous text, reflect on God and spend time with your family with no distractions
The jehovahs witnesses are probably right that jesus was planted on a stake and not a cross
