then in high school we delve into 19th century and balkan wars
it stops at ww2 and the war for liberation from Pasta and saurekrauts. and thats it. there are pages for the yugoslav wars but they are ignored. like we cover ancient,classical,medival,renissance, ww1,ww2 and stop at the ww2
like our curriculum intentionaly ignores what happened in the 90's

interstingly communsim is not mentioned not even once
our liberation from germs and italians is depicted as a popular uprising by all yugoslav peoples

the only time communsim is mentioned directly is when adressing the goli otok gulag camp and the informbiro crisis and thats it

I was fortunate and managed to read an a old history book from yugoslav era. and it was complete ideology. like it coveres everything from ancient,classical,medival,renissance, ww1,ww2 as usual. but then it comes to cold war and its all about class struggle, capitalim being the eternal enemy. socialist countries depicted as paradise on earth, and this was tought in school back then. it was all ideology. the history book was issed to elementary schools, printed in 1970
