So makes sense it was empty pre Huns
The Hun's had forced many out. Within reality Germanic people had fled those regions for almost a century by then.
Slav's merely seeing a mixture of weakness in the South and to the West pushed out.
*And do i mean pushed*.
@vexmasina44 South Slavs mostly descend from Bronze and Iron Age Balkan populations, but have some Proto-Slavic DNA. Slovenes are likely the most Slavic of the South Slavs, meanwhile Bulgars or Macedonians are the least Slavic.
*God Macedonians*
They are an intresting Gentic look at.
@Mr. Nessel someone sent me that sargoy vid
somewhat decent actually
Dude
macedonians are bulgars
but they larp as ancient greeks
*R1A*
macedonia was part of bulgaria taken by serbia after second balkan war
but they failed to integrate them into serbian society
so all that was lef for " macedonians" is larp

@Galahad This study: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4558026/
It’s a study of the genetic history of the Balto-Slavic populations using Y-DNA, mtDNA, and autosomal DNA.
thanks
@vexmasina44 besides your own group who is your favorite ethnic group in the Balkans
@Skeleton that is strange
bulgarians have a extremly similar culture to russians
they use Ciliric
and their language is a mix of serbian and russian
like we can sorta understand them
more than our other slavic bretherin
Polish is the most alien slavic language
As for the Teutons, Scandinavians, north Germans, and the Dutch are pretty Germanic. East Germans have a Slavic contribution, south Germans, Swiss Germans, and Austrians have a Celtic contribution, and the English are ~40% Germanic, depends on where you go in England.
Also, the Normans have some Germanic ancestry, but most Normans that were very Germanic went to England and then onto the Virginia Colony in the 1600s.
Poles are very weird. They’re West Slavic, but genetically closest to East Slavs.
*Don't tell a Pole that*.
Lmao
Objective Order and beauty
while we're at it
@Skeleton there is very little to compare Poles to in terms of western slavic peoples. The only other western slavic nation is Czechia (and maybe Slovaks?). Other western slavic tribes got absorbed by Germany. Maybe this is a reason?
arent czechs mixed with germans too
(relatively)
Yes, Germany had significant influence on Czechs. Both genetically and culturally.
gotcha
So they might be considered the most "western" slavs.
a lot of the genetic similarity between germans and czechs probably comes down to sharing the same pre-germanic, pre-slavic substrate as well
vaguely IE/continental celtic
in addition to the obvious intermixing

The Czech Republic was inhabited by the Celts in the Iron Age. In fact, the first Celtic culture, the Hallstatt culture, stretched from France to the Czech Republic.
lol
another LOOK AT THESE PATHETIC INCELS!! "documentary"
