Not as communist/socialists as Corbyn's Labour party no, but they are slowly getting there. Hence to the low approval rating..

2018-01-06 14:56:14 UTC

It is hard to know what is actually happening dispite twitter phrases...

2018-01-06 14:57:02 UTC

@Acenan well lets hope it stays slow................

2018-01-06 14:59:01 UTC

I think what really lost the Norwegian labour party the election was that they were open to negotiate with another party called "RΓΈdt"(red) which are far left communist/socialists..

2018-01-06 15:01:58 UTC

oh joy.............

2018-01-06 15:03:06 UTC

2018-01-06 15:03:58 UTC

They can't/won't talk to anyone to the right of them (and it's pretty much the same the other way around for right leaning parties)

2018-01-06 15:06:10 UTC

in germany we now have a self-proclaimed far-left party on the one side and a populist right party on the other side. nobody wants to work with either of them, and they are the only parties gaining in numbers (the more radical they behave)

2018-01-06 15:07:59 UTC

1930's all over again?

2018-01-06 15:08:43 UTC

a bit too much synchronisity for my taste at least

2018-01-06 15:09:29 UTC

I got a friend from there, he thinks the country's being too progressive so he now identifies as facist, complete with his own little party and all. Real autoritarian sh*t. Kinda funny seeing the progressive side managing to produce what they're fighting.

2018-01-06 15:09:30 UTC

I mean, soon all they'll have to do is appeal to the muslim community considering how quick the german population is lining up with saudi arabia's

2018-01-06 15:10:47 UTC

there has been a formation of a party that represents those parts of the voters in the netherlands, i think. in germany there are only tiny parties, mostly unorganized not really gaining traction

2018-01-06 15:11:16 UTC

now that sounds like the 1920's........

2018-01-06 15:11:34 UTC

roaring 20s

2018-01-06 15:12:07 UTC

2018-01-06 15:12:08 UTC

roaring, firebombing, violent uprising 20's yeah

2018-01-06 15:12:23 UTC

@skog100 yes they produce what they fight, that seems to be the case oftentimes

2018-01-06 15:28:51 UTC

2018-01-06 15:37:51 UTC

2018-01-06 15:38:18 UTC

i changed the channel icon to a beanie

2018-01-06 15:38:55 UTC

I approve.

2018-01-06 15:39:57 UTC

i suggest a pic that has a little *air* around the beanie so its more recognizable πŸ˜ƒ

2018-01-06 15:41:57 UTC

πŸ‘

2018-01-06 15:42:35 UTC

hey everyone

2018-01-06 15:42:47 UTC

hellow

2018-01-06 15:44:16 UTC

That is a good server icon

2018-01-06 15:54:34 UTC

Yo

2018-01-06 15:54:51 UTC

how do you turn on chat history?

2018-01-06 15:55:17 UTC

rightclick, edit channels, permissions

2018-01-06 15:55:30 UTC

@Timcast you need to give people permissions

2018-01-06 15:55:42 UTC

then click on the role you want to adjust (everyone in this case) or make a new role

2018-01-06 15:56:46 UTC

can't see any of the cht

2018-01-06 15:57:38 UTC

chat history should be the 11th permission on the list

2018-01-06 15:57:48 UTC

Much better icon

2018-01-06 15:59:03 UTC

@Timcast now the newsroom chathistory is visible

2018-01-06 16:00:29 UTC

I can't find any global setting, so might have to set permission to each individual channel.

2018-01-06 16:01:03 UTC

yes every individual channel

2018-01-06 16:02:27 UTC

you can create a *category* in which the channels are placed, then you can bulk edit the category settings for multiple channels at once tho

2018-01-06 16:03:20 UTC

it makes sense to use one channel with invisible history for newcomers if you plan on keeping the invitelink public, to prevent misdeeds by trolls. and then use some kind of roles for new participants that check out so they can see and interact with the other channels. just a suggestion πŸ˜ƒ

2018-01-06 16:06:33 UTC

Yes, that's a very good idea. It's how I've got my own server set up - the invite link sends yo to #lobby, but that's the only thing you can see until you're assigned a role.
