so can navigate to the country you most care about
Whoa
So basically is a critique of the banking systems ?
mmmmm its more of a "look at how they did all this corruption and which banks they used"
so to some degree it is, i guess
Or how the government handles them money through banks
like theyll detail all the projects that a brazilian leader undertook
"dams, electricity etc"
look at how much they were supposed to cost
then measure how much it actually costed
then how much of it was siphoned off to offshore accounts
how the project took decades longer than projected
You know that's actually
A thing
They build these huge structures or whatever
the companies are all multinationals too
who charge massive premiums
And then the price is increased like tenfold
so its not like they even prop up local businessmen
With no control over the actual expenditures
You don't really like America uh ?
At least in the economic aspects
since WWII, i think theyve been a massive negative for the world geopolitically and economically
but in terms of consumer technology
god bless them
like the CIA have overthrown 14 highly popular presidents
and replaced them with authoritarian corrupt puppet regimes
theyll support any regime that is pro american business (which typically is at the expense of local workers)
and they promulgate the american foreign debt regime (IMF, world bank, exim bank, WTO) which ensures policies are implemented that retard the development of these nations
High interests?
yea they get the full neoliberal/friedman package
high interest rates
debt burdens which cant be paid
worker rights get stripped
taxes on multinationals are dropped
and free trade
But still underdeveloped countries need these
It's better than nothing
need what part of this?
they dont need this at all
