just like a rifle is a tool

it needs to do a job

Guns are just point and shoot but swords are actual high standard endeavours

you see you're wrong about that

it takes alot to get a good zero

not to mention guns as you shoot heat up quite a bit

especially the barrel

any idiot can pick up a gun and fire a round

only someone experienced can pick up a gun and fire a round and hit a target 300 meters out

And only someone experienced can pick up a sword and swing it

swords are not useful in modern combat

The difference between the two besides the obvious is that guns are very self sufficient. They don’t need much from people to rely on, they do most of the work themselves. Swords are the opposite, it’s all about the person using it and their skill level.

That’s why I think swords are cooler

I mean obviously they aren’t useful for normal combat but

but the truth is a gun is more useful to the masses

cause it only takes a few hours to train someone to shoot efficiently at about 100 meters

I like guns cause I like practicing marksmanship

there is nothing more satisfying than hitting a target 500 or even 1000 meters out

That’s why I like swords lol because they take a while to master

It also takes a certain amount of tactical intelligence that guns don’t really require

a gun can be a pain in the ass at times

especially when using it out to farther ranges

and also.... god forbid your gun jams and you don't know how to quickly clear the jam

there's plenty nuance to using a gun efficiently

Close combat is a more skill oriented sector of fighting

guns are not meant to be a fair fight

if that job means killing someone it's best to get it over with
