the 'so-called' worker class here often makes more than basic white collar does
We are growing thats for sure but i cant really do anything with my position even if i had subordinates
ah.. i see
Its mostly stable cause its a family members business
theyre also kind enough to pay me $10 and is willing to raise it later
only have one other co-worker, they do marketing
I hope we can grow enough to get more employees
in part because the sooner that happens the more comfortable ill feel about leaving
That makes sense
with size comes security and stability..
yep
hell maybe i will stick around even if im in politics, if anything it'll be proof of being more a common man
but likely in a different positon
Could attract alot of people, those tired of "professional" politicians
yea
tbh if i get to a high enough office id like to propose an amendment that establishes Congressional term limits
thatll be hard as hell to get passed though
part of the reason i want new blood is because theyd be more willing to talk about it
Probably impossible!
Pensions and a stable carreer is not something that will be let go easily
although most of them are already wealthy to begin with
cause of their businesses and such
Business, money and political influence...
Great combo!!
thats why when the vote to raise their pay i get pissed off
Ill give Trump this, at least he paid out of pocket, at least mostly, instead of using the damn PACs
I prefer either out of pocket or donnations
from voters
Which is what we did for the campaign i was on
Cortez did it too iirc
Problem is that without fame, fortune or previous influence/power it is close to imposible for new candidates to succeed
I dont agree with her policies but she did a good campaign
as it stands now yes, at least for the higher positions
Senates, Governors, and Pres.
House is easier
problem with house is that your individual terms are short
how long are they?
even if you have no limits to how many times you can be a rep your not in very long compared to the senate, etc.
"Members of the House of Representatives serve two-year terms and are considered for reelection every even year. Senators however, serve six-year terms and elections to the Senate are staggered over even years so that only about 1/3 of the Senate is up for reelection during any election."
only two years
should be longer imo so they can do more
