some are meant to be art, some are just for the cash out

to me there's nothign wrong with that, *but*

the cash cows should never try to enforce ideology

they are there for entertainment and not to say anything deeper to try to persuade the viewer

humans like stories, and sometimes we like stories that mean nothing but what they say

if we want a deeper story that has very defined sides and points, we will go to see that

but do not turn star wars into a soapbox for SJW dogma

it gets worse the more you learn about it

the throne fight scene was initially one of the best parts

but

careful viewing of it

because it is choreographed so awfully

when i first saw it, i thought it was *okay*

but slowly i have seen more and more what's wrong with it and now kinda loathe it

there are things that could've feasibly been done to make it a better movie too, which makes it even worse

things i was thinking AS i was watching it in theatres

i.e. remove all of canto bight, make rose the codebreaker so she has an actual significant role

and making rey join kylo ren to ACTUALLY subvert expectations and finally fulfill taking the franchis einto a new direction

instead they lied and kept peddling the same old same old good v evil

the thing is that rey is such a weak character, there'd be little reason for her NOT to join him

especially when they were bonding the whole time

i hate rey as a character overall though but it's kinda too late to turn that trainwreck around

she's retarded and nearly wiped out her entire side so lol

i am interested in seeing wtf is even going to happen in the last movie

so i will see it

but i am not excited

i am not expecting it to be good

i just wanna see wtf happens

how they're gonna bring back palpy

also the trailer was really cringy when rey was running from kylo's TIE fighter

it's one thing to cry over a film

it's another to cry over a literal trailer where nothing all that interesting or emotional is happeing

i am not going to hide it, i cry at films here and there

but i do not spontaneously weep by watching a teaser of anything

i have very high empathy levels and fictional characters essentially trigger that

but i also don't cry at every movie
