mind you it was primary
That might explain it.
oh yea who was that again?
Lee Carter.
Jesus. He's as far out as Manassas.
I was thinking of living there.
Actual quote from Anderson Cooper just now: "Sometimes the news gets things wrong, rarely, but it happens. And when we do, we correct it within minutes, even seconds."
actually Alexandria is NoVA and had good turnout
i think its more they just vote for whoevers already in
That's how most places work.
yea
its both good and bad
Alexandria is where I found said bourgie.
She kinda just assumed I was DSA I think.
actually it was a precinct that had no turn out not County
Which was odd because it was s defense contractor.
yea Alexandria and part of FairFax
the further away you get the less bourgie
I should apologize if I'm being a bit bombastic or something.
Tidewater is best known for the Historic Triangle (Yorktown, Jamestown, Williamsburg), New Port News Shipbuilding, Langley Airforce Base, and Norfolk Naval Base.
Yeah, I just kinda assumed you were around Norfolk.
When I was looking at VA I would have been working somewhere along the far end of NoVA.
York actually
Much preferred it to MD. MD seemed pretentious and just like NYC in alot of ways.
Norfolks a traffic shithole i tend to avoid
VA Beach is a tourist trap
Fair. Would totally agree.
Historic Triangle only goes appreciated by those who actually care about our history
Yeah. I feel it's getting forgotten and overwritten though.
XD im canadian and ive heard of those towns
its more just ignored
I remember going to Fairfax Courthouse and the stuff around there last time I was in VA.
but i do just get a hard on for history in general
especially if war was involved
it still gets funding and stuff but its not really talked about
It felt like they were struggling to maintain a traditional history.
Yeah.
And if Fairfax is struggling, Jamestown and Yorktown would be completely forgotten.
they got a new visitors center at Yorktown
so something seems to be working
