That's true to the whole spirit of pokemon though
They seem big but aren't.
Pokemon was based on collecting and battling the big chunky beetles in the woods.
"Well it doesn't have to be about just bugs though."
Try telling that to my 8 year old self
Nidoking is like... at least as tall as a house
Never understood the appeal of the nidos.
eevee best pokemon forever
They're just big ol scary monsters. Not much more too it than that.
it's basically fluffy cat and i like fluffy cats
Leafeon is the best Eeveelution I will fight you on this
Gotta love how broken the original psychics were.
no I don't π¦
"Ghosts are strong against them, only they aren't really. We lied."
"All ghosts are poison. The only ghost damaging move that isn't fixed damage is Lick, which sucks."
Even if they were the only move that dealt ghost damage was lick right?
"Sorry about getting your hopes up. We tell filthy lies."
Nightshade deals fixed damage. Lick was like 20 base power
Yes.
also bugged to not actually do super effective damage in gen 1
Nightshade is damage based on your level.
So if you're 100 it does 100 damage.
The only prayer you have against a psychic is Twin Needle.
Gen 1 was a broken mess, but that's part of its appeal
Jolteon with Pin Missile was a decent option, but its attack stat was garbage
Pin Missile is bug..?
Yeah
Odd.
At least you could hit those Alakazams with a phsyical Hyper Beam which would probably crit from your Persian
and if you ko'd with hyper beam it didn't recharge because gen 1
One time I was dueling somebody.
And they assumed to kill my Breloom by using Fly
I thought otherwise.
And critted them with a Sky Uppercut.

Fan**tiss**imo~
I went down stairs to check on my nephew. He is playing a spider man game and I busted out laughing at one of the cutscenes. Literally, itβs two cops shooting and some unarmed black men but the bullets are doing nothing, then the cops yell fall back and run away
The Breloom was named Shoryuken, so they really should've clued in what moves I had.
My favorite is Bibarel with the Simple ability and Curse+Amnesia. You take about 70% damage from a thunderbolt or something then Amnesia, and they think they'll just keep doing it, but suddenly their Tbolt does 10% damage and you're healing for 8% a turn, and you Curse after the second Tbolt, and Curse when they switch, so now you're just as hard to kill with physical moves
Then when they bring in the fast powerful pokemon you hit them with the quick attack/aqua jet
