Seriously.
it was a sarcastic name, i liked it
Guys, if you create a Patreon like service, or know someone who knows someone, name it after a Greek god of partying.
Name your Patreon "Dionysus"
Just give it a name that can mean anything you want.
That's why Ray Croc took over McDonald's.
Do not call it an inside joke
"We call it Hatreon because some thinkpiece said that Patreon should be called Hatreon when calling for it to get rid of Lauren Southern!!"
"We're so funny."
Isn't that company just a middleman for Stripe?
Like they aren't a financial institution themselves.
Stripe wasn't always part of it.
" All of these websites read and write content to the Steem blockchain, which stores the content in an immutable blockchain ledger, and rewards users for their contributions with digital tokens called STEEM. Every day, the Steem blockchain mints new STEEM tokens and adds them to a community's "rewards pool". These tokens are then awarded to users for their contributions, based on the votes that their content receives. Users who hold more tokens in their account as "Steem Power" will get to decide where a larger portion of the rewards pool is distributed."
But where does the money come from?
Because Steem tokens can't be used to do fuck all.
And if something isn't a medium of exchange it isn't money.
not sure, i kind of get the impression the miners are taxed to fund it
Like if I'm a creator on Steemit, how do I use my tokens to buy food?
looks like you can trade it, so you can sell it for either dollars, or bitcoin, and then sell the bitcoin
since it has a market value of $0.866673 right now
cant see why it would be any different than any other altcoin
so a friend of mine got permanently suspended on twitter for basicly the most minor offences ive ever seen
It's going to be a really hard sell to people who would just like to get Paypal'd their earnings. I'm guessing that the bulk of people on youtube don't know or care about crypto and consider it some kind of black magic.
he made 2 videos about it if youd like to see <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_GvgHt4hAw>

bitconeeeect
money in general is basically black magic to people
people dont really understand where value comes from
people will never understand crypto either, they will just use it and take it for granted, just like how most people dont understand how e-mail works
Which is fine really, if you want to appeal to the broadest possible audience.
And if there is to be a real alternative to these social media platforms, the broadest possible audience is what needs to be targeted.
Folks who don't ever want to know what a blockchain is.
Who just want to buy things and get paid.
yeah you really don't have to understand anything, you just need to know that swiping your card gives you the loot
I hope that eventually maybe 2-3 coins win out and become the standard. Right now having a new altcoin every 15 minutes is making the cryptocurrency market less credible and more volatile (and therefore less valuable).
life is easy for people who are evil
man, Im watching some of the bullshit fake journalists spew
they know they are lying to
I bought a bunch of litecoin a few years ago but it doesn't appear to have gotten any traction.
the activists defending antifa after charlottesville when I know for a fact that they are lying becuase one of them has been seen in photos at white nationalist events
