That was a great show - the last thing in the world i would have predicted is a Heimbach/cantwell attempted redemption arc, who the hell would want a slice of that trainwreck?

I now understand why they have little illustrations on packets of AAA batteries instructing me not to eat the batteries. I kind of feel like that last podcast was similar, a necessary service exercising a duty of care to inform people against doing something that ought to be obvious but apparently isn’t. And just like the safety illustration of the little stick-man necking a fistful of batteries it will only influence the top 10% of potential battery eaters at most.

I put cantwell’s mugshot through faceapp and gave him comeover-bangs and a goofy grin, alternate timeline Cantwell looks like a good-natured doofus who runs a podcast on comic books or something

@mattforney I was curious about something I heard on the Cantwell episode - you mentioned that Matthew Collette was MI5, what’s your source on that? Seemed odd to me, Collette always seemed like a more reasonable voice to me, although I’ve only heard him on the Ralph Retort

I guess he tones it down for the Ralph Retort as it’s a more lighthearted / less fedposty kind of show

David Duke followed me on twitter after I joked that the director’s cut of Blackkklansman had a 4 hour deleted scene where Duke talks about the benefits of chewing your broccoli thoroughly

I noticed whenever duke is guest on a show he talks without pause for hours about nutrition like some wacky autist
