good news i was able to set a pattern lock

but no option to set fingerprint even on startup

well the settings option ain't woking like before

i reset factory settings

yea it goes back to settings main page

thats the initial problem i've been trying to solve

i reset the phone so i had the option to set fingerprint on startup

but pajeet on youtube is able to set it after entering PIN

i chose pattern instead

but didn't get the screen to set fingerprint

does it only happen when you chose PIN

i have a mi account now atleast

on this version of miui theres settings > lock screen and fingerprint > screen lock and fingerprint

after that it just goes back to main page
