My honest opinion is that we are sort of like the Simpsons movie

The big issue is that the high ups lie so much it's actually more viable to believe opposite to what you are being told

If you think of it like this your eye can only see x amount of distance so say you had different coloured lights every 200m or so and you had a massive 500mile radius to play with your eyes can only see say 100miles so the other 400mikes of lights would still be there just your eyes aren't able to see that dosent mean it's a "curve" just your eye can't see that far

People who believe the earth curves can you explain this theory; if you had a light post placed Evey 250/500 meteres on a straight road say 500 miles long your eyes are only able to see say 200miles so the other lights for 300miles would still be there just your eye isn't physically able to see it doesn't mean it isn't there?
