Satan wants to be God. Many false gods (or mighty ones) have been worshipped for 6000 years. Scriptures say these mighty ones are demons and fallen angels

The god of this world is Satan

Elohim gave contgrol of the earth to Adam. Adam sinned and Satan took control of the world. Nonetheless, YHWH still is above and over all things.

and we know in the end that the son of Man Yeshua (Jesus) will return to restore His Kingdom on Earth - taking control back from Satan.

Satan is actually already defeated when MEssiah died and rose from the dead and ascended into heaven

Are you saying that Messiah did NOT defeat Satan by His death, burial, descent to Sheol, Rsurrection and Ascension? That is what the scirptures teach my friend

He is allowed to maintain control for the current time until Messiah returns to put all things under His Feet.

CORRECT > Defeat - is like he is found guilty - but has not been brought to prison yet.

In the end Satan will be completely destroyed in the Lake of Fire. That is after the 1000 reign of Messiah on earth.
