Shadetree49, I agree what comes from the pedestal or pulpit must speak the Word of GOD and walk in humility and confidence in the Word as it goes forth. Otherwise the pew or congregation will grow weary in well doing and fall away. I have had one Pastor in my 30 years of being a christ person, not meaning I've just lived in one place with same Pastor. I've lived in alot of places and been involved in many churches, but there's only been one of the many that the Pastor truly had a Pastor's heart. He operated in teaching sometimes but that Pastors heart was always evident. I saw him desire to love unconditionally for the 6 years we lived there. That is truly the key I believe.
