@fuguer Woah man, cool it with the anti-semitism
I think the sentiment trying to be expressed here is that interaction with other groups may lead to situations where one group must be chosen over another
being "racist" in this context would mean doing things that would benefit yours rather than theirs at the expense of yourown
As the Lord said, a man cannot serve two masters
Your own people are your family, other ethnic groups are friends. You can interact politely with both, but when you must choose, family comes before friends.
@Yek Quantity does not outweight quality. Arguing with your wife 500 times a week doesn't make you less attached/more in conflict with her than with say an asshole neighbor whose fucked you over big time on one occasion that week
@Yek and given you like to say "races is a nebulous term that can mean anything" what do you mean by your statement?
One could claim that blacks have been fighting themselves for years in africa, but when you break it up by smaller genetic groups you see different ethnic groups of blacks. The inner bickering of the tribe does not compare to the war it has with a neighboring group.
@Yek It's not. Consider your own supporting statements. Different groups with major differences inhabit a common area. Despite the members having their own minor differences, the major differences (to simplify it) outweight the minor grievances. In the case of "whiteness", it does "exist" categorically when those of african and other larger racial categories are present in the same region with those of caucasian/european descent.
@Yek Race is a category (as is species and other biological categories) that is the label that summarizes the defining differences between the two groups.
Differences that are major include IQ and time preference and inherited behavorial tendecies. Differences that are minor (and overall irrelevant) are the exact number of hairs on the head.
@Yek We must ask ourselves why we are clustering: you are saying clustering must occur in such a precise manner because of academic concerns. Yet you forget why people consider race to begin with: not primarily because we're all ivory tower academics, but because there are differences in behavior between people of different races. "It would not be meaningful"--meaningful to who? Academics who can change the standard of categorization (etc: there is no difference in official terminology between beak and bill) as is necessary for their studies, or people who have to live with the differences of the races and deal with it from a day to day basis.
@Yek So unless your asking people to forget their daily reality to fit academic standards that are, ultimately, arbitrated upon the amount of precision deemed good enough, race is a legitimate category in terms of its utility for the common man, the society he lives in, and the politics he follows.
@Yek To argue otherwise is to say (in a hypothetical situation) that the sun shouldn't be classified by farmers as any different from any other star because to categorize it otherwise is academically pointless and makes arbitrary and trite distinctions that have no academic utility.
There are more differences between M type stars than between them and other star types, y'know?
I mean, can we even categorize dwarf stars as any different? Each dwarf is really unique and more different than another dwarf star than say a dwarf compared to our sun, ya know?
>not enough variation
well shit, nigga, lets throw all taxonomy out the window if there has to be a set number of differences
I mean, its totally not like someone's phenotype can give insight into their behavior
@Yek Dude, the presence of any difference, even if that amounts to a single distinction, is enough to categorize
That's called observing genetic expressions
Watch a few of dr edward dutton's videos
^^^
13 do 50
@Yek "Were talking determining someones behavior based on phenotype". Are you trying to say we can't judge people by their physical and apparent biological expression? Nigga, if you a fatty, you got a caloric excess and are gonna die young. You're either too lazy or too eaty-eaty. Your lifestyle aint burning enough calories. The personalities/behavior/what a person is like is not separate from their bodies.
The amount of technicalities that "invalidate" the bigger ideas that Yek brings up is akin to a Creationist saying this, that, and the other means evolution can't happen. "The law of thermodynamics... mathematically speaking, darwin was... Carbon dating isn't precise enough to account for..."
When am I going to get the "race" equivalent of "exploding junkyards don't make 747's"
It's amazing how vague terminology becomes depending on the field. Take HEMA weapons (the variations of polearms and the names given) or in politics, "nation" vs "nation state" vs "state" vs "country"
I'm wondering if this is an actual debate where Yek is willing to be persuaded, or if he just wants to do the persuading: aka, if he's given the right evidence/proof to meet his personal criteria of belief, will he accept it or deny it to prove his point?
@esotericpazuzuism We're all little sperm in the Metradad's balls
@Yek And how would you assess this evidence? Would you like it in a paper by a specific institution? Do the authors have to be notable and highly cited (we're talking big names here, as in people you can find in college textbooks and course literature) prior to the paper? Do they have to make political denouncements in the abstract? Does it have to be widely accepted already and mainstream before you trust it; or will its dissident nature (going against the grain of consensus) be too untrustworthy for you?
Alright folks, let it be known that Yek requires academic literature that's at least peer reviewed. No more, no less.

@Epic Style Go eat a vegetable you not nice man
@Hector The difference between humans and chimpanzees in the genome is about 1%. There's no reason we should consider ourselves different by any significant measure.
@Hector Listen bruh, we gotta let them chimps in. We can't let them keep living out in the wild like that. It's unacceptable.
@Hector If you don't let a chimp touch your daughter, you're being bigoted and needlessly racist.

Had a big brain moment today while at work. "progress" in the left-wing/liberal paradigm is the equivalent of "purity spiraling" on the right--trying to take things up a notch again and again
@Epic Style You clearly haven't heard the word of Norman Reedus and the Funky Feetus
Monster energy is the water of the future
"The trad/normative lifestyle is so boring!" Holy heck on an unbuttered biscuit, is this cuck so obsessed with sex that he can't find any less self-destructive interest?
Is he that addicted to his hormones that he can't control himself? (presuming its real)
6mil cookies say that if this story be true, this guy is a neet in a normie's skin.
1871, yet he named "Nazism"
anywhere else he or another of the pre 20th century period wrote about it?
โThe peopleโ - there is no people. Most (if not all) western nations are too heterogenous for there to be a โpeopleโ
Majority who? Africans?
Hispanics?
Bleks?
You presume there is some possession or commonality between modern states and their peoples. The โAmerican publicโ does not own its government
What @Epic Style said
People canโt own the government if the population is over 100 million and is as spread out
Democracy works neither in large populations or heterogenous ones
Under the right conditions: otherwise democracy allows for the opposite
What? Are we talking theory or reality here? In reality, reps donโt represent anyone but their own personal convictions and aspirations
A lawyer also has a more potent incentive to aid the client
A rep canโt get fired mid term if they didnโt violate the law
Also, republicanism has representatives. Democracy does not
No
Republicanism is not the voting of laws on its own. Itโs the voting of leaders (not necessarily legislators)
Thereโs a difference between de jure and de facto
Reps do not represent in reality
Donโt conflate theory with reality.

Its been common wisdom (until recently) that the poor will always be among us. Iโm pretty sure Jesus said that as well.
Also, if everyone gets the same income to buy what gets them by, most people who would be hardworking otherwise in the middle and lower classes would stop working all together
And not many people have the charitable, productive, creative spark about them
Those that are creative are often procrastinators: UBI would encourage said procrastination
To elaborate on my first point, Iโm sure there is an inheritable aspect of poverty in terms of inherent traits and tendencies that push one there
Hereโs the thing though: all that extra leisure wonโt be good for society as a whole. You think globohomo is bad now? Wait what happens when peopleโs lives amount to nothing but pursue happiness aka momentary pleasure.
UBI will have a dysgenic effect as did reduced infant and childhood mortality
