I mean from a purely economic standpoint Hitler was stupid.

He designed the na zi economy to rely on war and the spoils of war to continue to function, if the Nazis had waited to start the war for much longer their economy would've collapsed. And during the war something horrible happened: they realized that the loot from conquered nations wouldn't be enough to keep their economy afloat
