40 rounds for qual 20 for zeroing

if you suck you get more chances to shoot

also qualing is a whole army standard so its armywide not mos specific lol

now if you wanna talk about blanks we shoot alot of blanks...

do i need to answer that or can you look up like 8 lines

oh no i hate my job and id trade it instantly for a cornflake XD

sims cost too much we do live fire paper targets, cus all the ranges with popups are always broke. and so are sims

i found a sears and roebuck 12 gadge someone cut down and made custom wood furnature for. id usually be sad for someone butchering a now over 100 year old gun. but damn its just beautiful i had to buy it. and i measured it just legal length. i dont think i have a picture of it sadly and its far away locked in a safe cus army sucks and wont let me keep my firearms and i dont trust the armory.

im trying to remember what model it was but i cant. it has a pump release behind the trigger well in the form of a small tab and thats all i can do to identify it as all the furnature is hand made.

you can hold down that tab and trigger and slamfire it

so i got a democrat black woman who one of my soldiers asked me to train with firearms, she is deadly scared of them even though he owns many (yes they are married). shes gotten more comfortable with holding them and knowing safeties I've taught her. I've been thinking about getting one of those dry fire laser trainer so she can get some "range time" well the ranges are shut down. any thoughts on that?

any recommendations if you know any?

nothing break the bank im only a soldier but still something she can play with

dont get me wrong id like to goto the range and show her real life. i was a RSO at SET guns and range and i have no qualms with tackling someone flagging and training first time shooters, that was our biggest demographic.

but everything is closed and government lands. kansas sucks.

none the less ammo prices, i sold a box of 9x18 russian surplus for 60 bucks a few weeks ago. screw that lol

i sold my 9x18 p63 and there isnt exactly a hype around 9x18 im hording my 9x19 right now lol

well one is russian 9x18 and the other is german 9x19 now if you wanna get into 9x17 (.380 ACP) was american then other then germany european. but it really ends with early exploration into firearms. repeating pistols had different loads for simple blow back that was necessary for design, weight, and usability.

now a glock slide can do it all but back then weight mattered in a slide. ammo was made way differently.

but back then each government wanted to make the best ammo for where they were at and the manufacturing there for the world wars. and boom you got all different kinds of ammo. 7.7x58 jap, 7.62x54 russian, 7.62x51 .308 win, 7.92x57 mauser ect ect ect

then you get fanboys, i need a gun in 7.62x51 cus its what americans used in the war and its perfect ammo! so guns are made in that. even if awesome ammo like 7.62x38mmR are non-existant today theres still a rallying cry around old ammo made in many different countrys for a war thats 80 or 100 years old

you are correct

i kinda ment in the wars, but i did bring up up world wars abit, so it does seem out of place

long branch in canada makes actually some of the best enfields i shot

i know canada is a meme of the worlds pacifists, but definately make some good arms and are bad ass in the world wars. i forget the town but in europe there is a town that puts out thousands of flowers for all the canadians that helped them in ww2 every year

also worlds longest kill is held by a canadian earned in the middle east

simple history?

oh cool

i like yarnhub but its just for the animation then the actual history lesson lol

alot of the newer stuff is new to me but the old stuff is like i know but show me lol

very nice

i wish i had alot of ww2 webbing but if i did id definately send it, got a few of the real pouches.

probably my best find is a officers mobile station dated 1942. its the size of a normal trunk but folds out and is a desk and drawers

id love to freak out my NCOs at the barracks and replace that cheep shit with it but nah its safe with family with all my other old stuff

i dont get much vietnam stuff, all i have is my navy boiler tech fathers uniform

well theres alot more to learn thats super cool, when i was young i ate up every forum that talked about ww2. but theres alot of cool ww1 and more and im still learning

what i learned is youtube only shows you popular stories

i have a pair like that it seemed military cus of the draw strings on the pants, but i never could place it

pilot no, i got flights.

flights dont change much

i dont need to click it and i know the story lol

german engeneering was amazing but to be amazing it had many flaws. you can find that in everything over there, ive been for a year

you should drive a kaupwagen and a willies lol

youd wanna drive the kaupwagen, but for the repair bill you drive a willies XD

eh no. if you knew the miles on military vehicles they never get to 100,000 miles. even simple ones like hmmwvs

german tanks had problems with everything from suspention to powertrain, thats the real killer not 100k miles

yep so do modern ones, but the thing is is the transmissions are different from a passenger car. they can go over way higher obsticles, and cheepest contract always wins

so even if its amazing in design its still cheeply made, cus money is king.

but... goverment contracts mean big $$$ so a smartphone that costs 20 bucks today has more encription capability then a 2000$ army radio. now they got big antennas and it goes farther but attach that antenna to a cell phone and you got the army beat!

the patton on our uniforms is the easiest to break down, a standard pair of pants costs me 60 bucks at clothing and sales, if i bought a off brand close enough one id be spending 10 for better quality

but they dont have the patton so you can slightly tell

and thats soldier cost, not even equipment cost

a aircraft MFD (munti-funtion display) in green and white coloring costs the army over 30k. each. and there is 4/5. depending on the aircraft. if i got the processor and LCD display to recreate it id spend less the 100 bucks and it would be full color.

if you need a few for hunting i got a friend who sold his and will sell for less then a dollar a pop, but i think hes only got 20

made the stupid mistake of selling his to buy a different one and they sold it within hours

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/biden-calls-on-congress-to-reform-us-gun-laws/ar-BB1dFUTH
Biden said he wants Congress to pass laws that would require background checks on all gun sales and ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.
Biden said Congress must also eliminate "immunity for gun manufacturers who knowingly put weapons of war on our streets."

when do you get to pick lol

i was told pick 3 places overseas and in the us. i can tell you kansas isnt exactly my pick and ive been here 4 years. neither was Korea but got orders there.

sorry i was thinking about duty station after a short time you kinda dont care about basic, it almost seems cringy to talk about basic once you get to the duty staion. AIT teaches you nothing about your real job and each station is different anyways

anyone joining 15 series?

mostly aviation

and before you say haha aviation you guys are like the airforce of the army, our stupid fucking comanders have made us break records in field exercises and deployments cus they think we should be more like the infantry well the infantry a mile away from me laughs at my command saying they try to be "like us"

601st holds the record of the most amount of jumps in a field exercise, 8 in 7 days. yes we set up c-wire and command centers and camo netting and defensive positions 2 times in one day and every day once. as for deplyments we hold the record of transporting our gear getting the ship sealed in 4 days vs the regular 2 weeks we are allotted. infantry laughs at us cus they jump once in a week (minimal requirement) and take a week and ahalf to explore the shipping area and drink well transporting gear.

color of the suits are obviously different one is a blue and the other is black

that and you can see the dash on the right side. why have i been seeing this everywhere?
