And with the ranges you listed a 6.5 would preform worse than .308

A 6.5 would be good for like 800+

I pour a lot of lead so I make my own custom slugs, some of em are mean penetrators

I pour lead for fishing weights, i just pour slugs for a side hobby

In the long run you would eventually save money if you casted your own rounds
