"Systemic racism" (in the UK) ?? .. I thought REALLY where? .. So when I bumped into my Mixed-Race friend last week I took the opportunity to ask her; "Has your mum ever experienced racism in the UK being a black woman" .. I was kinda dumbfounded and shocked at the reply! ... "YES", she said "everyday"! .. I asked "OMG really? How?" .... 1. When walking down the street she will see people handing leaflets/flyers out but then as she walks past they ignore her. 2. When at the checkout at the supermarket the person at the till was chatting to the person in front of her but when it was her turn to be served the checkout staff did not chat to her. .. This list of RIDICULOUS reasons goes on! ... POINT: she did not list ANYTHING that was RACIST! 🙂
