And if a druggie decided between being an informant and saving his best friend?
I betcha they would snitch
That's what the courts are for
Same
Cops are held to a oath. The spirit of the law and the letter of the law.
They take that shit serious
No. What I'm saying is they don't have to prosecute in some cases. And they cut a lot of people a break.
They aren't inherently bad
Look up the spirit and the letter of the law.
Cops don't HAVE to enforce everything. Its their discretion.
Public unions?
I'll be honest I haven't heard of them
Same applies to people who commit some crimes @CPunk
Leniency applies both ways.
That standard includes morals
If a cop made one wrongful arrest as a rookie it should not end his career.
Believe it or not a cop has saved my ass before. During the pandemic I was driving without a license because the dmv was shutdown because of covid. He let me go even though it could have been a class D misdemeanor.
Spirit of the law, circumstances, morals
How if he wasn't?
Corruption happens way more in the corporate world than the police world.
Same with most "movements"
Imagine if a cop has to decide everything in a split second, adrenaline, lack of entire picture, immediate danger.
Its not easy choosing the correct decision
Exactly
