Only way to keep society from spiraling out of control is to Educate on truth and allow the free exchange of ideas in the public domain. Without free exchange, how can people can convince each other something is wrong or show the truth to those in echo chambers? By placing people in tribes, you lead to conflicting ideologies and people end up embolden to use violence against each other.

That is just my take on things.

Echo chambers leads to tribal mentality, where one group won't listen to the other and they are more willing to use violence to solve their problems.

I blame twitter and other medias, for forcing people into echo chambers on social media, thus in turn further entrenching tribalism which is lead to more violent conflicts between people.

Social justice and identity politics did push the social medias to this.

Twitter just further entrenches it.

I am saying the community orgs today are "FORCING" people into echo chambers, which leads to them being exposed to identity politics without any counter argument to persuade them from following those politics.

It is so much more likely that you will be exposed to bad ideas and entrenched in the ideas when people are always like... your racists and fascists, therefor you must only be placed in the echo chambers with actual racists and fascists.

Before twitter started shadow banning and placing people into bubbles for "Content" that they want to see, we were able to talk to each other and exchange ideas together.

Now they are massive and split between the left and right.

Not to the extent that people are willing to violent beat each other up over their political opinions.

What you are basically saying, you are taking blame from the big social media companies for contributing these echo chambers. I say the social media companies are party of the problem, they are a big part of the problem, they are not the sole cause of the problem though.

I feel that the big social media companies has accelerated the problem to the end game and is major part of dividing people even more along party lines aka tribalism.

These companies are vastly powerful and working together in conjunctions with each other, basically they have monopolized our communication across the internet. Then they start restricting content to us based on our likes and dislikes, which bleeds into politics where you may like republican and dislike democrats, etc, etc... They give you content based on what your views and likes are. Creating a huge echo chamber for many people, they also hide comments and opinions that is opposed to your views.

They pretty much false advertise to people using these platforms. Aka free speech platforms where free exchange of ideas can happen. That isn't what you get with these social media companies now.

I don't think we need regulations, but we do need like a internet bill of rights for our users, thus if the social media infringes upon these rights they can be sued and held accountable.

We don't need government intervention into the social media companies.

It is basically a agreement between social media and us, this is the list of our rights and thus the social media can't infringe upon these rights unless they want to be held accountable by people through the rule of law.

Regulation is when the government is actively involved with the social media companies and keeps a thumb on their pulse. Absolute power corrupts absolute.

Basically they can be held accountable our nation's laws if they infringe upon that nation's citizen.

The law that they can be held accountable depends on the person and what nation they are from.

It was made day and night, hidden from the British through secret before they introduced it.

I don't get where people get that idea, it was thought upon, debated upon, talked about, and hashed out by our founding fathers.

I was originally in the left, then I switch to republican, then I went to independent. It feels much better being in the middle. Picking and choosing ideas that I view as helpful towards our nation and discard the rest.

Democrats were the creators and solders of the Confederate army. Democrats were the founders of the KKK in attempt to segregated and keep blacks from mingling with the whites, then when civil rights era came along they found against black's getting their rights. Democrats fought against almost every single civil rights piece except for the last one, they figured if they can't win, they will use the blacks by keeping them under their party as loyal voting block.

Why the heck would I support a party that attempts to blame Republicans for their past? It doesn't make sense. The tearing down statues and the destruction of the "Racist" history is working in favor of the democrats.

Why would people research the past if there isn't any reminders of the past?

Statues play a good role in making people remember the past and thus remembering never to go down that path again.

I created an saying throughout my debates, tell me what you think. "The reminders of past are there to remind of us our past. People that attempts to erase those reminders has no good intentions, for they are willing to run the risk of repeating it in the future. Only selfish people erase the past in the present without consideration for the future."
