!agree
Imagine my surprise when I noticed that Nathan Phillips was actually in a Skrillex video.
Gotta agree with the king. Hating is pretty far from productive
I neither love or hate strangers. I just dont care enough to waste so much energy on people I don't know
Well, twitter is moist, hot garbage, so no surprise there
I think twitter is slowly dying. Its way past its prime
I'm risking sounding like a overly fancy lad now, but there was a german philosopher named Heigel that had a theory about societies working on a pendulum theory. Too far in any extreme will cause the pendulum to swing equally extreme to the other side eventually. Only when the swinging stops or is moderate a society will truly progress.
Its just physics. One action provokes an equal reaction.
@ThreeOfOne Hopefully the direction is forward
@ThreeOfOne I'd say "moderation". A little left, a little right, quite a bit of center
Well, if Hillary runs, the Dems are doomed. Same with Occational Cortex
I dunno, you are at least giving them the alternative to give you their shit and live
@ThreeOfOne I think our definitions of "extreme" might be a bit different.
My country for example, hasn't conquered shit for over 200 years. Its doing alright though
He'll get that good old white house magic when he's prez
Bernie is a social democrat. Hardly Stalin material
Social democracy and robust welfare system? Sounds like Sweden
@momoneymoproblems Those problems arent economic though.
I'd more say that Swedens problem is that our society always hinged on a homogenous population. So when we started getting people who were very different from us, we didn't know how to make them into swedish citizens. Assimilation is a dirty word here :/
I'd say that the reason why we cant separate people is that we cant really force people to live anywhere
@Atkins Man, if I knew how to fix poverty, I would be pretty famous
@Atkins The thing is that most foreign people here arent immigrants. They are asylum seekers. So they fall into a whole other category. And denying asylum to people from war torn countries is illegal according to the U.N
I don't think many people from run to australia from warring nations
@momoneymoproblems And Europe went on crusades down there for something along those times as well
You dont go to a place and invade every town and make the people there pay taxes "in defence"
Tbh, Byzantium also got sacked by crusaders ๐
Still, that puts the whole "holy war" into question, when christian crusaders sack a christian city
I'd say both. Since they were sanctioned by the pope, they were holy in essence
@momoneymoproblems I bet the Jihads were perfectly reasonable and justifiable to the muslims as well.
Soldiers had it way better during the Roman empire. Do your tour, get paid, get a plot of land and political rights.
Crusaders also met people in melee, with swords, at point blank. I think that might be a bit stressful
Do that for a while and you might break something inside
I think the only ones to actually manage to conqure Russia was the Mongols
Didnt the russians just abandon moskau? Even set fire to it?
If I could choose, I'd go back in time and become the applications guy at the art school Hitler wanted to join
It would have been better for a lot of people if he just became an artist instead
Even if Hitler was gone, Stalin would still remain
@Strufa Wouldnt that lead to fallout hitting the U.S with the tropical storms though?
I'd say, just invade cuba with regular arms, and not amphetamined up exile cubans, but real soldiers
But who would teenagers wear t-shirts with then?
I guess they could wear Karl Marx on their t-shirts
I had a perfectly fine ubringing by a single mom
i didnt feel attacked, just thought I'd mention it ๐
Speaking of talk shows, I started checking Joe Rogans stuff out
It was pretty cool when he had Jordan Peterssons daughter there. She even speaks like him, it was a bit scary
